What an awesome evening alone with your dh in the MK!! We did this on our first trip, they were still doing the E-ride nights, and my MIL was with us, so she offered to keep the boys! That was the only way we were riding any of the "bigger" rides, and we had a blast!

I don't know how my kids would react to being left for an evening, but it sounds like your kids had a great time!

Please tell me that Sleepy Hollow is not where you went looking for Caramel Corn. It is one of our favorite snacks, but when we went in June MK was very hot and crowded. So needless to say we did not go for our treat. I guess when I go back I will have to check it out. BTW we did find Caramel Corn in DHS, but I'm not sure which cart it was from, maybe the one near the tip board?

Lesley--Date night sounds like it was a great time for you guys!! So sad about that little old couple!!! I bet you just wanted to give that little lady a big hug! I saw where you guys are looking into renting points for BWV for next year!!! That's GREAT! I think you will really enjoy it! The resort isn't too large, the main pool is great fun, and there is so much fun stuff to see and do right out on the Boardwalk! The boats to EP and DS are great, and the bus service elsewhere is pretty good! This has been our favorite DVC so far--I think you will enjoy it! I have always rented my points from DISers off the Rent/Trade board here. You can either post a thread requesting what you need--usually works pretty quickly--or sort through the other postings to find someone with points to rent. Make sure you use someone who has references or referrals and is willing to use some type of contract. You can find examples of those from people off that board as well!! Please let me know if I can help you out or answer any questions!!! If you book a standard view location--ask for a higher floor--you will be able to catch a view of fireworks from your room! Do you think you'll ever buy into the DVC? They are having an amazing deal right now. $500 down and $124 a month (until the loan is paid off) and you don't pay dues until May, I believe the dues are $39 a month.
It's for 100points... that gives you a week at most of the resorts.

Just got back from Mexico and got caught up on your TR. So sorry to hear about losing Lauren at MK. It's a sickening feeling that only a parent knows. We lost our son at Typhoon Lagoon for about 10 min. Thankfully he knew what to do and went and found a CM, just like Lauren did.
Glad you got to enjoy MK without children. It's a great experience. Hope you had a great weekend

All caught up again since we were away for a week. Loved your updates! How scary Lauren was missing even if only for a few minutes, must have seemed like and hour for you. Love the picture with Luke and Lauren hugging, so cute! Your date looked like fun too.
