My, how things change.![]()
The only thing that has changed is Tim's performance. Tom Brady is still a great QB.

English please.
But seriously your over the top posts are seeming quite trollish. Unless maybe you are his mom.![]()
Emma, I'm not a religious person myself, but I can be fairly certain enough to say that we should not measure one another in the manner in which you've done above.
It goes beyond a simple admiration for the man, himself. Opinions being expressed in this thread have extended into some sort of (false?) idol worship that I would imagine would not be endorsed by Tim, or other such persons that subscribe to the same belief system as he does.
It's not idol worship. It's debate. I am a debater. If I believe a statement, I will drive my point home for as long as I'm challenged or until someone changes my opinion.
I think you're debating alone.

Yours seems to be that Tim is the best person in the world, but humble! Always humble. You don't seem to be debating that fact as much as repeating it over and over.
I'm simply wondering how one can proclaim the humble qualities of a person while simultaneously exclaiming that they are the better than everyone else.
If someone is still challenging my points that is not the case.
This is a fallacy. I never said he was the best person in the world.
Also, your last sentence really doesn't make sense. I said Tim was humble. I never said I was better than anyone else.

As my cousin Beth (the Mother of the hamburger eating Baby Alive-oops, that's another thread) anyway, as my cousin Beth used to say when we were kids, "You can think that- OR you can be right"
Emma, nobody is picking up what you're putting down. Your "points" are so over the top and out there that I don't think anyone is taking it seriously. And it has nothing to do with being a fan of either QB....

A troll is someone who engages in reportable offenses, such as ad hominem attacks(which actually include calling someone a troll), spamming, and intentionally going off-topic. A troll would use expletives to make a point to get a rise out of someone. A troll would start talking about their favorite steak on a thread for vegetarians. Merely talking about contentious issues does not a troll make. By your standard everyone on the BBC Debate Team would be a troll. Not everyone likes talking about how their second cousin just had a baby. I like debate.
Mermaid, how dare you use a non sequitur! The horrors!!!!![]()

Excellent point. There are some things that have come out of this whole Tebow thing that have made me cringe. From all the available evidence, he seems like a nice kid, but he's NOT divine. And as you said, if he really believes what he says he does, he'd agree with that. People need to take a step back, calm down, and put this poor kid back on earth. It's not fair to him to create all this around him. He's a flawed human being just like everyone else. Put away the #15 jersey with "Jesus" on the back, that's really insane.
and nobody earns their way into heaven...at least not in the Bible I read. Lots of people do good things and they don't even believe in heaven. They just do them. Put away the yardstick, stop measuring everyone up, and do the good deeds because they're good things to do.

I agree....it's not his fault for all the hype.
My husband and I were sitting and talking about how this all came about....he really touched people in Gaineville, the whole heart on the sleeve thing...and it spiraled from there. Look what he did in college....
also, schooled...come on - Brady is a how many year veteran? Tebow didn't start the season and didn't practice with these guys --- he made lots of mistakes yes, but I wouldn't call that being schooled....
