Tim Tebow, Denver Broncos Being Petitioned To Join 'It Gets Better' LGBT Youth Campaign
Do ya think he'll do it?
Do ya think he'll do it?
They are doing an SNL skit tonight on him.
I wonder how many people are lining up waiting for the Patriots to win this weekend and then using the Broncos loss as the reason that Tebow is overrated. The reality is that the Patriots are the better team and should win so that would prove nothing.
I doubt he'll join and boy will that stir things up for him.
That would be a shame if he felt that encouraging bullied children and telling them that they shouldn't end their lives is a bad thing. No matter how you feel about homosexuality, I would think that children being bullied into suicide is something that should be prevented.

If he does this I will respect him, I will be shocked if he does. The sad part is I have a feeling a handful of people (not on this thread in general) who now support Tebow would turn against him if he did do it.

I know..and it makes me sad too. That people would condone bullying to the point a child takes his/her own life to avoid even appearing to "approve" of homosexuality is just mystifying to me.

The ironic thing is that Tebow is being bullied himself into join the cause.
He is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
I hope he does choose to support the cause, however, if he doesn't, I am not going to jump to homophobe and that he doesn't think bullied children are important.
I see what he does for children here in Denver. Most of it he does under the radar so as not to draw attention to himself.

Well, maybe he'll do it. I guess he'll weigh it all and see if and what it all stands for and decide.
I have a DD who was bullied so if it was ME, I'd probably do it (though DD is not a lesbian) and two of my dearest friends ARE lesbians so I know a tiny bit of ridicule and harassment they have faced. *probably because I have not clicked on the link and read everything yet.
If it meant you could save ONE child from being bullied for any reason or kept them from committing suicide for any reason, I would do it.

I'm not sure Tebow's a homophobe, after all he signed onto the Broncs knowin' the NFL has an anti discrimination clause that includes gays. If he has very strong convictions against gays, then he'd probably refuse to work with them, wouldn't he?
So it'll be interesting to see reaction to him if he doesn't, huh? I mean, bullying and all. Interesting...
It really is a big cycle of sorts...![]()
