Tim Tebow.

Hope your DH gets to go to the game!:goodvibes
It certainly would be worth it to even scalp one outside the stadium.

We had talked about going to that game this year but didn't think a night game in Death Valley was the best atmosphere for our Gator kids.:lmao:

I still have the nightmare of hearing the chant of what the LSU fans were yelling at Tebow last time in my brain. And we heard it on tv. I couldn't imagine having the Kids exposed to it in person. ;)

I agree with you. The atmosphere has gotten worse in recent years. I have been shocked to hear the profane chants that the fans have been yelling! I, too, could even hear it on the TV :scared1: That was not the case when I was growing up or even in my high school years. It is sad that it has gottten to the point of being that rowdy. My DDs have never been to a game there. They watch them on TV with us, but they have never been to Tiger Stadium for a game. We have visited the campus with them, and they have seen it that way.

It's very sad- but I do think it was the college kids. I'm sure there were some Alumni that were mortified.:goodvibes

We haven't been to LSU's campus yet-- we're trying to get to a lot of the SEC colleges in the next 4 years before our oldest leaves us. She's got her heart set on UF and she's a great student, in honors classes- but UF is soooo competitive. I'm not even sure if the parent being an Alumni will even help at all.

Anyway- we'd love to go to a game at LSU- just not so sure we'll take the younger kids when we do.

I read the other day an article on the loudest places to play- and LSU was ranked #1, followed by The Swamp.:)

I must admit that I remember this well. Most of the LSU fans at that game were truly embarrassed by this. The school was also embarrassed. That being said, I've brought my boys to a few games and I have many friends that tailgate each home game as a family and go to the game, as a family. Hopefully, those who thought this is good fun have turned over a new leaf.;)

Good luck Saturday night!

Florida quarterback Tim Tebow returned to practice Tuesday.

Tebow worked out in full pads. He is practicing with the Gators' first-team receivers and running backs. He is back to full speed drills and is full go.

Tebow had not practiced since suffering a concussion in the Gators' win at Kentucky on Sept. 26.

We are LSU season-ticket holders and I won't let either one of my kids go down for this game. It's just too much. DH will be going and has already sold our "extra" ticket. And if I remember right, I think I remember us getting a letter in the mail (from LSU, probably the athletic foundation) after that game regarding fans' behavior. As a whole, the school was embarrassed.

THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!:lovestruc

Thursday starts an epic slate of games for the weekend.
#21 Nebraska at #24 Missouri
-A great appetizer for the main course that follows on saturday as two Big 12 North teams square off to decide the pecking order and maybe the Big 12 North crown.

Wisconsin at #9 Ohio State
-Sconi is undefeated but will see their first true test on saturday against the Big 10 favorite Ohio State. Although I would like to see Sconi win, I want Ohio State to win the Big 10 so they go to the BCS bowl game, and somehow get draw against Cincinnati and get blown out by their Ohio counterparts.

#3 Alabama at #20 Ole Miss
Ole Miss suffered a tough loss but since the opening week game against VT, Bama has run over opponents. They will get their chance for a solid game this week against a desparate Ole Miss team that wants to keep its ranking. Fun fact, Bama doesn't draw Florida this year, again. So the only time they would meet is the SEC Championship.

#1 Florida at #4 LSU
Tim Tebow looks likely to return this week, but it unknown to what extent the affects of his concussion will play on him. His head may be clear, but will we see the Tebow of old that lowered his shoulder when going head to head with Eric Berry? Unlikely. LSU's offense looked sluggish last week until the last 2 minutes against a middle of the road SEC team in Georgia. The major difference here though is LSU is home, Tebow banged up or not, they need to capitalize on Florida's mistakes to survive this one.

Mid Major talk:
The big game is Boise State traveling to Tulsa. Tulsa has looked good all season except for that blowout loss to Oklahoma. This is only one of two true tests left for the Broncos during the regular season. The other actually looks to be the instate rivalry versus Idaho. Idaho is 4-1 and plays lackluster San Jose State this week. If you give this Vandals team enough wins, they could start to believe they could be the WAC foe that finally knocks down Boise State.
Why does this all matter?- Undefeated Boise State has enough voters backing to them that they could sneak into the Championship game if everyone else loses...

I agree with you, Uuaww. It is going to be a great football weekend!!!!! :cheer2:

Well, DH came home from work last night and said that he will not be able to go to the game. The work project that he had to travel to Baton Rouge to complete has been postponed for a few weeks. We will watch the game from home.
Also, I saw an update on SportsCenter yesterday. They said that the decision on whether or not Tim Tebow will play will likely be made on Saturday. As of now, they said that he has still not been cleared by the doctor. Is that what the local FL news is saying as well?

Joe Schad of ESPN has reported that Tebow was lifting weights-- a good sign!:goodvibes

In other news--- some LSU fans got ahold of Urban Meyer's telephone # and since then have posted it on facebook so people will call him.

:confused::confused::confused:

I don't understand.:confused3

ETA--- they also have been calling Brantley, Addazio and R. Cooper.

yes, he had been cleared for limited practice and is a game time decision.

Honestly, after reading the post here Tuesday, I assumed that his practice was a sure sign he was playing. I think lifting weights is a good sign too. As much as I hate the idea of Florida beating LSU (:flower3:), I do hope that he is back to normal and playing again. I hope the best for him and his future career. As I posted earlier, I keep hoping our Panthers will get him!

I am so sorry to read this about the LSU fans. Though I try to read BR news online every day or every other day, I have not read it yet today. I did not know this. day. I am sorry that this has happened.

 Awwwww- you don't have to apologize!:goodvibes I just put it out there b/c it seems to be a pattern with some of the LSU fans. They did it to UGA last year as well.

You know- there are good and bad fans that cheer for every team. Some, I think, are dealing with a little more immaturity than others.;)

I just hope that if there are death threats- like there were when they called Tebow- that they can get to the bottom of the calls.

I'm guessing there must be someone who has access to unlisted #'s and that's how they are being released.

As far as the Carolina Panthers.... I was born and raised in Charleston SC.... and my Godparents lived in downtown Charlotte, right down and around the corner from the stadium. When I was growing up- I spent a lot of time in Charlotte at their house-- of course it was before the Panthers got there--:rotfl: but I still have great affection for that city. AND the Panthers.;)

WOuldn't hurt my feelings at all if TT went to play for them.:lovestruc

Tebow has been medically cleared...still a game time decision though.

My nerves are starting...big shakeups in the SEC today, some great games!

I bet his momma is nervous. I am. Not sure whether I'll even be able to watch.

Go Gators!

he hugged both his parents before the game...she did look a bit worried. His father had just returned from the Phillipines.

Tebow is starting.

LSU fans were boo'ing already, geez.

Hi and congrats to all the gator fans! I was at the game tonight, and it was an awesome atmosphere! Unbelievably loud! The boos at the beginning of the game (well, we always boo when the other team comes out :guilty:) were after the Gator players either stomped on the Eye of the Tiger or made it look like they were. But I have to say that there isn't a Tiger fan out there who doesn't respect Tim Tebow for the player and human being he is. He is the type of player any fan base would love to have. LSU fans may jeer or even boo him, but don't think for a moment that we don't know what a class act he is! Good luck in the rest of the season! Great win for y'all. :thumbsup2

I hope the Gator fans who made the trip were treated well!
