Tim Hortons?

What in the world is a Tim Hortons?

I've never heard of it and I keep seeing people talk about it on the DIS.

Tim Horton's is like THE biggest thing in Cananda.
It's like a Dunkin Donuts type of thing, but 100000x better.
I'd say 90% of the popularions drinks TIm Hortons coffee/tea/other drinks on almost a daily basis.
It's where you get your sunday breakfast of donuts of muffins, it's where you go on the way to work when you didn't have time for breakfast, it's where you go after church or after hockey practice.
It's the epitome of all things Canadian.

I think they have some in North-Eastern AMerica too though now, I know they have a couple in Buffalo at least.


Hilary, Jamie, where are you girls?? Canadian DISers assemble and teach these people about the awesomeness that is Timmys!

it's more like dunkin donuts.
it's not hip & trendy like starbucks, it's a family palce.
and they don't have specialty coffees/fraps.
they just have tim hortons coffee lol.
and they have donuts, muffins, bagels, sandwiches,soups, and of course, TIMBITS (donut holes)

No, it's much better. They're all over Canada and Western New York. IMO, the best coffee/donut place ever!

As and aside, Tim Horton was an NHL Hockey player who played for Toronto, Buffalo, NY Rangers and Pittsburgh in the 50s, 60s and 70s. He was a co-founder of the chain but was killed in an auto accident in the early 70s.

The local nickname is Timmy Hos and some believe that there are strong drugs put into the coffee because it's so addicting .

Tim Hortons.. is THE most AMAZING thing in Canada. It's a place that sells doughnuts and coffee.. When I lived in Canada, I used to go there err day =)

Exactly what Caitlin said, like Dunkin's but MUCH MUCH BETTER.
I personally am only there for the donuts and Timbits =D

They're really only found around the eastern border between the States and Canada. Places like Maine, New York, Ohio and probably some others (possibly NH?).
There is also one in Kanadhar for the Canadian soldiers in need of a coffee fix.

My city has the most Tim Horton's per capita =)
