I am always disapointed when I buy a donut at Tim's. I swear they give out the stale, squished ugly stuff to drive thru people because we are less likely to drive back to complain. I had the joy of spitting out a dead bee from my coffee a few weeks back, so Country Style is now my prefered coffee and donut stop. It is amazing how much larger and fresher the donuts are at Country style, namely the chocolate dipped donut. Tim's is small and chewy with odd tasting chocolate, while C.S.'s is much lighter and largers with better chocolate.
Reading this thread the other day inspired me to stop in at a Tims on Friday to buy a muffin. It was gross. Small, stale and tasteless. It'll be another long time before I'm back at a Tim's. I personally don't get the attraction.
I pretty much only buy drinks there. I try really hard to avoid sweets....they're so my weakness. Reading the last couple of posts I realized that Ya...the donuts really aren't that good.
Is anyone else frustrated by the fact that there seems to be a reduced selection of donut varieties in order to list a ton of non-donut-related stuff on the menus now?
I mean, when I go to Timmies, I want a coffee and a donut...I don't want a sandwich, a bagel-wich, soup, or whatever else they've come up with that week. I just want a fresh, tasty donut...from a donut shop...is that too much to ask?
