Has anyone had it yet? DH told me about it a couple of days ago, then saw it on tv this morning. I guess McDonalds isn't too happy. I hope this weekend I will give it a try.

Have not even heard a squeak about it here. Must be down east only?

Hi again. I thought on tv they said that the ones on the states have breakfasts already. Then all the rest will have them by the end of October.Ok isn't Tim Hortans Canadian? Why did the states get it first?Talking of Tim Hortons. My Father inlaw would love  to open one up down in Orlando by Disney, for all those Canadian people that go south for the winter.

Maybe Tim's should replace the Beaver Tail booth?

They had them in the Markville Mall Timmys yesterday. Didn't try one though as it was lunch time -- they're made on their biscuits.

They did announce that they will serve breakfasts starting next month at all of their branches priced the same as McDonalds egg mcmuffin.
They also announced that they are opening over 400 new branches in the states.
Epcot Canadian Pavilion maybe....mmmm? :thumbsup2

They were giving 'taste tests' yesterday in St. Catharines. Tasted very good. Given that Timmy's is part of many morning routines, this should do very well for those who want a change from a bagel.

Had a sausage/egg/cheese biscuit for breakfast very early Saturday morning at Timmy's in downtown Vancouver. They rock! Much better than the egg mcmuffin, so glad there's a new brekky option out there!

They have them here in NS. I think they started last week. I haven't tried one yet but I think it's slowing down the drive thru.

TOTALLY!! I love that idea. Man I miss my Tim's in the US.

We did find several last year ('05) when we drove to Boston, mostly in Maine. Nice to see, but weird.

For the other poster, Tim's was bought out by Wendy's a few years ago, but they are in the process of "spinning it off" again, as Wendy's is planning to go into breakfast and the competition isn't going to work on those shared locations. Don't think it'll ever be Canadian again, though. :( However, there will be an IPO of stock soon as Tim's goes public, and apparently lots of Canadians want to buy a few Tim's stocks. Maybe we can take it back that way!! I'd love to find a few Tim's shares in my Christmas stocking. :coffee:

Didn't this happen awhile ago :confused3 I remember the stocks selling quite quickly.

Maybe I'm just having an episode of "Mommy Brain."

My sisters friend moved to Daytona and she told her they just openned a Tim's there.

I thought so too, but there was an article in the business section (Chronicle Herald) today, I think there were some regulatory hoops to jump through in the states. As I understand it, it will be hard for the average person to buy them, the shares somehow will mostly go into large funds. Too bad.

ETA: I actually went back and read the article (!), and it's not Mommy Brain (on your part, anyway ;) ), you're right--the IPO was some time ago, and something less than 20% of stock was offered; the remaining 80+ will be released soon...

Had one today in Fredericton NB and would have to aggre

Had one this week and wasn't terribly impressed. Found it pretty greasy and heavy. Might give it one more shot, but I still prefer the McDonalds McGriddles or the standard Egg McMuffins.

We are in TO and DH had one the other day and said it was really good. I saw teh ads at my 'local' but havn't tried one yet.

It is served on a biscuit, DH does not like biscuits. I really liked it, DH did not.

It reminds me of the McDonalds breakfasts in the US, do they still serve McMuffins on a biscuit (I remember having it on a biscuit a long time ago)? Or do they use English muffins like we do?

In the US McDs actually serves it both ways, either on the english muffin like here or on biscuits. Usually though, I find the biscuit somewhat crumbly which is so much different from the Timmy's version.

Thanks for clarifying that! :thumbsup2 I wonder why McDonalds does not offer the biscuits here (Canada)? :confused3
