**Tim Burton's Alice and Wonderland**

I'm so excited!
I love Tim Burton, most of his movies are good.

eh seems like a typical Burton movie.
I think it will be overrated.

I've loved Alice in Wonderland since I first saw it as a child. Can't wait for this one!

how is the book different from the cartoon?? how do they compare

There are a great many characters that we don't meet in the cartoon mentioned in the book. The Griffin and tortoise are two of them. Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee are toned down a bit (they're very competitive brothers). We also don't see any of The Duchess and her baby (which is one of the funniest and most confusing portions of Alice in Wonderland).

And I'm really hoping that that's all actually out of AiW, as I haven't read either book in about 3 years and am likely to be mishmashing them together.

I know I'm probably going to get ostracized from the TB for saying this....
but I cannot STAND tim burton & his tribe. (i find them incredible overrated)
BUT, I think he might do well with this movie.
If he doesn't over-do it with the dark stylization.
I'll definitley watch with an open mind, because I think this is the type of thing that might be good for the Burton Clan, but I still don't like them. haha
I think the only good things Tim Burton has ever done were Big Fish (which was totally AMAZING, so i will definitley give him credit for that) and Nightmare Before X-mas.

I really am willing to give this movie a chance though, I hope it doesn't disappoint!
ANd I must say I'm glad they chose an unknown actress for alice.

i was never really a tim burton fan until i saw nightmare before christmas then i just wanted to see every movie he had every made...now i'm hooked

I'm not really sure how you could put gore into AiW. It is a children's story, afterall.
