Tim and Lesley Year of Million Compromises/TONS pics- 8/5 help me pg. 164!!!

Awww great pics of Lauren! I felt so bad for Luke tho, you can see him in the background of that last pic of her all dressed up in the BBB and he looks so mad! Poor guy! I love POFQ and seeing your pics reminds me of our Honeymoon! So pretty!

OMG! Lauren looks so cute! You can tell she really enjoyed her pampering session...you better look out when she gets older.

Poor Luke, at least he got some arcade time in.

Great installment!

I'm back and I am just trying to catch up on your TR! I have so many to catch up on that I had to write down page numbers to make sure I didn't miss out on anything.

Your birthday sounds wonderful and I love that necklace. Someday I hope to have my kids wake Tinkerbell too but it definitely was not in the cards this trip. Now back I go reading.....

I had the same sandwich at Earl of Sandwich. I'm a big blue cheese lover myself. The boys like it too, but DH can't stand it or the fact that we all like it. lol.

Lauren looks adorable. Sorry that Luke got so upset. Poor guy...

Glad that you guys ended up with a super room the 2nd time around.

Your TR is so much fun. I'm always anxious for the next installment.

Great report, thanks for sharing :goodvibes. Belle looks beautiful princess: , and one very handsome prince :)

Lovin your TR! Can't wait to read more. We debated POFQ for this trip and kind of wish I had gone with my gut. Oh well, there is always next time.
Now I need to get back to my pretrippie...Yours is on pause until your next installment :)

We got our suitcases from Belle services, unpacked and were situated in our new room in no time. YEAH!! It was definitely worth it, great idea Tim!

Belle services...too funny!:lmao:

Enjoying all of your reports. My princess has decided on Belle for her BBB appointment in a couple of weeks. Thanks for all the details & the photos. We're definitely looking forward to the new experience.

Great installment..Lauren looks so adorable and Luke looks like such a handsome little man. My little girl is not so little anymore and says she is to big for bootique..:sad2:

I FINALLY caught up on your trip report. I can't believe you've written so much! I went to the beach over the weekend, and when I got back I realized I had missed all the fun here. :goodvibes I started yesterday afternoon (I also read through all the comments) and came back to it this afternoon. I decided to hold all my comments til the end.
This one is even better than last year's TR! I'm so glad the kids didn't get sick this time(knock on wood).
My favorite quote of all is when Lauren said: "I don’t want to sleep in my stinkin’ bed anymore I want to see the Princesses!" I laughed so hard when I read that. She is adorable!
The kids look very much alike when they are sleeping. And also very cute and peaceful!

I'm sorry you didn't like the beignets. (I must say I chuckled a bit at your spelling of the word ;) )You should visit New Orleans and have some real beignets at Cafe Du Monde....also the cafe au leit is a favorite of mine! I think you'd enjoy them much better here.

By the way, happy belated birthday! Mine is the 15th! I had a birthday party at DisneyWorld once…a character breakfast…..don’t remember where because I was only 3 years old! Mom says I loved it though. The only thing I remember is that Minnie snuck up behind me and put her hands over my eyes. When I saw it was her I just flipped out! I have been a Disney fanatic ever since then.

Kona sounds/looks so GOOD! You’ve got me just about convinced….I may change my last day’s ADR’s from Spoodles to Kona if we can do it. There’s just NOT ENOUGH TIME to eat everywhere we want. (we'll be there 7 days)

What did you mean about the paintbrushes on Tom Sawyer's raft?

Tell Tim he did a great job getting those dream fastpasses! I was shocked when he wouldn't show you his FP....That just wasn't like him! (I feel like I know Tim) I thought Darth Vader had taken over his body! Glad you got the FP.

I want to go to WDW at the same time as you so I can see your precious children!

Ok, now that I got all of that out, I'm ready to read more! :woohoo:

My favorite thing about this latest installment is the picture of Luke and Lauren walking to the pool holding hands... How perfect! That is one of those moments you close your eyes and burn into your brain so you never forget it. How special!

We then headed to the photo studio they have there in downtown Disney. If you get the castle package (we brought our dress from home to save a TON of money- I highly recommend this, only cost us 45 dollars TOTAL) it includes a picture, well I had my AAA voucher for a free 5x7 photopass picture so I planned on using it for one of her BBB pics. We went over to the studio and the photographer took some outstanding pics of her, I had trouble choosing the one I wanted, wish I could show it here but we didn’t buy the Photopass card. Anyway, it was a VERY cute picture.
At this point though as they are taking her pictures Luke has his breakdown, I was worried about this from the start, I offered him the cool dude package when I booked this for Lauren but he passed saying he wasn’t interested, well it was all different when the day came and he saw all the attention and pampering Lauren was getting. He was crying so hard as she got her pics taken, I felt terrible. I promised him a night at the arcade, that seemed to help quite a bit, I also distracted him with a pressed penny machine that he did while she was getting photographed.
After that we decided we really wanted to hit a park, we had Wolfgant Puck ressie's that night but we really wanted to go somewhere else so we decided (again, COMPROMISES!!!) to use Counterservice credits for dinner and we'd do another sit down the last day of the trip - which you will find out at the end of the TR : ) so . . .. we decided to go to Animal Kingdom. There is no quick way to AK from DTD unfortunately, we got on a bus from DTD to the Animal Kingdom lodge, it seemed like forever, then at AKL we had to wait over 20 minutes for the bus to AK to arrive. Meanwhile at each station and on the buses Lauren was getting OODLES of compliments which drove Luke insane, Lauren of course at it up. Luke said “she can’t be a princess all week, she’ll just think she can boss us around !” Too funny!
We FINALLY made it to AK by around 6:00. I didn’t realize it was an EMH so it was a bit crowded and the skies didn’t look so good. We headed right to Tough to be a Bug show

The show freaked Lauren out a bit, I just love that show, so cool!!! Then we were starving so we decided to try Flame Tree BBQ, BEST COUNTERSERVICE OF THE TRIP!!! Oh my gosh this food was GOOD! I got the pulled BBQ sandwich and the key lime pie for desert, YUM!!!!

Tim got the ribs

GREAT meal had by all. By this time it was thundering BIG time and starting to sprinkle. We headed as fast as we could to the Dinosaur ride and ran up to the attendant to grab a Parent Swap pass, Luke decided he didn’t want to ride this year (scared him a bit last year although he acted brave and rode 2 times last year). Tim rode first, by this time it was a monsoon outside and there were TONS of people in the gift shop. Here is Luke acting like a T rex as we waited for Tim:
Photo52Small-1.jpg

Then it was my turn, I went RIGHT in with my parent swap with NO line, walked right onto a vehicle. Right in the middle of the ride it stopped. Now, I don’t scare easily but this FREAKED me out. We were stuck in there with all of the dinosaur sounds in complete darkness, I really started to panic and was FREAKING out. The guy next to me said “this broke down earlier” I started to wonder how long I would be in Dinosaur land in darkness, then it started back up THANK GOD! It really is a cool ride but GOODNESS not in the dark!!!
After that it was still a monsoon so of course this was the day I didn’t bring the poncho’s with us so I bought an adult poncho to drape over the kids in the stroller (didn’t want Lauren’s new hairdo to get messed up) and we made a run for the gate.
We hit the arcade when we got back to POFQ to fulfill our promise to Luke, the POFQ arcade is nice and big, Luke had a blast!
When we got back to POFQ we found out our new room was 2301, GREAT room right on the corner so we had two windows, you walk down the stairs and it is RIGHT by the pool and RIGHT by the food court, DEFINITELY worth the move, I highly recommend building 2!!!
You can see the two windows behind excited Luke.

I took a quick pic of all that Lauren got to take with her which I thought was GREAT from BBB, they give them this cute bag, the sash, the TWO crowns (there is the one in front and a pretty glittery barrett crown that goes in the back of her head too, the nail polish and the makeup, Lauren was in heaven):
Photo53Small-1.jpg

We got our suitcases from Belle services, unpacked and were situated in our new room in no time. YEAH!! It was definitely worth it, great idea Tim!
Stay tuned, tomorrow is our official Animal Kingdom day, GREAT DAY, Lauren gets granted an AWESOME WISH!!! And our girls night out at Askershus with the Princesses, stay tuned!!!

Did you get the Crown package then for $45? I noticed the castle package is the one that includes the costume.

DD wants to do the Crown one when we go. I can't wait to take pics!

How did you get the AAA voucher for the 5x7 pic? We for sure need to inquire about that! LOL

Ok, now I think I might just have to make a ressie for BBB for my DD! Lauren looks so precious. Exactly how old is she again? My DD will be 3 (38 months, though) at the time, and I just wasn't sure she'd really "get it". But it looks like Lauren really enjoyed it!

Lesley - Lauren looks SOOOO cute all dressed up! I can't wait until DD is old enough for this. Luke is hilarious in those bug glasses!

Love the new room at POFQ!! Great location.

Your pics of the kids walking around POFQ holding hands and at the pool are priceless.

Looking forward to the next installment!!

Okay- I loved this installment of your trip! The photos on the way to the pool make the resort look beautiful. -Never been there! Lauren made a beautiful Belle and those photos just show her excitement so well! And congrats on being able to get moved closer! I know how long those llllllong walks back to the room can get after a day at the park!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVING your report!:yay: OK first of all ,that is great to have a day to just wake up and do whatever!:thumbsup2 So rare in Disney! I love the pics. of Luke and Lauren walking to the pool holding hands, so precious!:cloud9: The one of them both giving the thumbs up needs to be on a Disney commercial or something! OMG Lauren looks sooo beautiful in her Belle gown and all made up like a princess!princess: I am happy to find that my children are not the only ones who get jealous when something special is happening for the other!:goodvibes Great idea by Tim to change rooms! :thumbsup2 Funny back in the last installment when you said your money was less then you thought and then remembering you changed rooms, I of course thought the worse and assumed maybe the mousekeepers stole it!:scared1: Then I thought oh no not THIS family not Tim and Lesley they will be scarred for life :rotfl2: SO HAPPY that wasn't the reason for the room change! ;) Of course I am anxiously awaiting more!:surfweb:

As usual great trip report. I love Earl of Sandwich. It is my favorite CS restaurant. I usually go there the first night I arrive but because of your great review I booked 'Ohana for dinner instead. I will have lunch there for sure on our next trip.

Just love the pictures of Lauren at BBB, that has to be one of the best new ideas that Disney has come up with. Whoever came up with the idea should be well rewarded by Disney. I know that the barbershop in MK does something special for boys where they paint it and put sparkle glitter like stuff in it. Just a suggestion for future trips, Luke could have that done while Lauren is at BBB:wizard: .

Earl of Sandwich is my favorite non park counter service, great sandwiches. Yum!

I am so happy that you moved for convenience, I know that the buses line up near building 7 in the morning, I know I would not like the noise or diesel fuel smell. Gotta love bldg 2, very convenient to everything.
