Tiggerdad's chasing squirrels at the Fort! Nov. 14-23

My 2 stroke track cart is loud and smokes but its a trusty steed and runs many more miles on a tank then the electrics run on a charge specially carting lots of stuff around. I do not bring that one to FW, we bring 2 electric ones. I keep saying one day I will sell that 2 stroke and get a quiet 4 stroke. I like the electrics but I have also been to tracks where its generator only and after a few days running out of charge.

Disney is pretty good at the decorations. I remember leaving one morning in January for the parks, returned and the entire marina decorations where down already.

The tree looks fantastic. Now I really wish I would plan a trip down over the holidays. Maybe in 3 years when DS is out of school.

When I came back this evening it was back cold again. Anybody got a suggestion?
Check your fridge. Mine has an "Auto" and "Gas" button. Not an "Electric" and "Gas". I assumed "Auto" was electric first then gas if no 110 volt. If your fridge was on "Auto" and the 110 breaker is tripped or there is another wiring issue, it would always run off gas and 12 volt. The LP bottle ran out and there goes the fridge even though you think it's running on electric.

Good Christmas Tree pictures Tiggerdad.

I never have park hopped. Never will. You hit the reason - time between parks. Plus the extra cost.

But if I win the lottery I'll blow a few bucks on hoppers. :rotfl2:

Keep the pix coming. popcorn::

Bama Ed

I have always hopped, 5-6 hours in one park, back to walk the dogs, then off to another park. Even if I did not hop I would have to go back to walk the pups, so for me its no different but to each their own. That is whats so great with Disney, there is no wrong way to enjoy the magic!!

Under 45 days to departure here. We have started the "meal chart" to guess on how much food to bring down.

OMG! This cable internet service here is terrible at best. My old dialup internet service was faster than this. It is taking forever to upload pics and to get pages to load.

Okay, so today was Seaworld day, so most all of my pics today are from there, and you can rest assured that I took several squirrel pictures there too. (My wife is so embarrased) Seriously though, the internet is so slow it has literally taken me over an hour to get this singel pic uploaded and get to this point.

This pic is of the entry sign now that the decorations are up. Ed, you will notice how the lack of Mountain Dew leads to a much clearer image.

I have some more campground pics, updated decorations and site pics, but this internet service is so terrible that I can't get them uploaded. I think that it is just a high use time of day and that is making it worse. I'll try again tomorrow.

In the morning we have breakfast with the princesses in the castle and will mill around the park until around noon, then we are coming back to the Fort for some campground time and more pics!

Until then...
(wish I had my old dialup service right about now...)

Tigger dad,

Are you running a wireless router from the modem or hard wired. The three times we have camped, I know a lot, we had good speed on our wireless. Though I loaded pictures periodically through out the day, then did my reports.

Anyways enjoying it. Can't wait to be back at the fort.

I know how it is with whiny kids in Epcot. We were lucky because when my DD was 10 she loved Epcot because she loved shopping in all the countries. DD was 5 and he loved it for the video games in Innoventions. Thankfully, there weren't many people in the theater for the film on France, though, because they whined and complained until we left the film early.

The juxtapostion of the flowers and green grass with the Christmas decor in your pictures makes me wish even more that I were going somewhere warm for Christmas! You've got us all wishing to win the lottery, Mr. Tiggerdad!

I figured somebody would sneak that "Mr." in somewhere...:)

I think that I finally figured out what was wrong with the internet around here. Apparently the one in charge of internet around here, Chester, was slacking on the job. As a matter of fact, sleeping on the job would be a better way of saying it...

We are heading over to the Castle this morning. I was gonna post some more pics last night after the cable improved its speed, but then the decorations police showed up and I had to make some minor adjustments to my decorations. Nothing too big, and the guy was really nice about it. Only had to move one inflatable, which I put at the rear of the camper and I had to take the lights off the fence.

I did get by site 501 and see Pluto67 again, he was pulling out this morning heading back north for Thanksgiving. Hey Ken, if you catch this, put up a post to let us know you and your wife made it in safe.

Heading to breakfast, then back here to the Fort for horseback riding and some pics. Hopefully be a big posting tonight to make up for the last 2 days.

More to come...

It wasn't there this morning when we left out, but when we came back tonight, right where Ed said it would be . . .

1) Everyone knows trees like to wonder around, but go back before Noon.
2) Something they learned long ago.
3) Only Englishmen (and Florida Tourists) go out in the midday sun.

Mike: it was our pleasure to meet you and your lovely family the other day, you all were definitely having a magical Disney time at the Fort. We are now in South Carolina spending the night at New Green Acres CG. Headed out tomorrow morning for Carolina Crossroads CG. So far so far so good. Lots of RV's heading south on I-95. Did not pass any RV's going north. The south bound rest stops were full of RV's.We are already missing the Fort. At least we can start planning our next trip. Got reservations locked in for next November. Have a safe trip back home. Hope see you again next year . Our best to you and you family.

Pluto67, glad to know your trip is going well and continued safe travels. I have been talking to the wife, and we are just about decided on returning next year instead of skipping a year. We are considering this same timeframe again.

Well, today was busy as usual. We had breakfast with the princesses in Cinderella's castle. As we were leaving there were these three guys trying to talk us into a guided fishing tour...

Here was the lifeguard on duty...

The police were out early, said something about looking for 3 birds posing as fishermen...

I know I said I would wait until I got home to post about the parks, but small crowds make for good pics...

Notice the mob coming up Main Street...

Here is what I am currently doing...cooking.

and my outdoor posting setup, notice my Christmas squirrel...

and as promised, here are some pics from around the campground after we came back...

Over on the 1600 loop...

and some shots in general...

I can tell you that the Thanksgiving crowd is showing up. Campers coming in and setting up all day. After dinner I'm gonna go out and get you guys some night time pics if I can find some good ones and post them in the morning.

Ruthies,

The bar had closed by the time I got down there. There was a paper printout that listed the items available. There were two sections, one for non-alcoholic and the other for alcoholic. I took a picture for you. I'll double check the actual list tomorrow and ensure that this is all that is available.

Thank you so much for sharing your photos. Seeing Main Street open like that makes me smile big and seeing the peacefulness of the Fort makes me want to just roll around on that nice green grass! It's 20 here and raining and snowing.

This post! your pics are a reality check! I'm spending way too much time reading negative threads on the other side to make my head spin. So thank you for making it all good again!

PS - I have no idea what you and squirrels have going on but it is very comical. Your Xmas squirrel is awesome!

Those are awesome pics, thanks so much for sharing!! Really glad you posted the menu, now I know that my favorite drink is not available I will buy the ingredients at home and bring it with me. I first had it at pop century, but have since figured out how to make it.

If you decide to go same time next year we will just miss each other, I will be arriving 11/26/15.

Hey Ruthies, we are considering 2 weeks next year, so we would overlap. We are kinda wanting to catch the fall time of year also, so we may move it up to October.

PS - I have no idea what you and squirrels have going on but it is very comical. Your Xmas squirrel is awesome!

You should hear him sing. When you press his paw he sings "I'm Gettin Nuttin for Christmas".

Well, it's been a bad morning. There was a miscommunication with myself and Kenny about the cart return date. I thought it was in the morning, but apparently he thought it was today. The really horrible thing about it was that I missed my one chance to meet the one and only, RustySkupper.

Hey Scupper, I'm sorry about the missed opportunity. I was really looking forward to finally getting to meet you and then be able to claim that I had survived a Skupper encounter like Ed. Now it looks like I'm gonna have to wait until next year.

Dang! Dang! Dang!

Oh yeah, it's raining off and on today, this place is crawling with new campers, and the squirrels got into my container of peanuts while I was out looping this morning. Didn't even leave me a Thank You card.

(I just can't believe I missed a chance to meet The Scupper...)

Glad to see you and the family are having a good time! Did the comfort stations and back gate use magic bands or a card to get in?
