DH cut this out of the paper for me this morning. It's part of a summary of cases recently worked by the FL Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

"Lt. Rick Brown, Capt. Linda Harrison and Investigator Steve Grigg responded to information provided by the Mt. Dora Police Department that a full-grown tiger was observed walking inside the residence at a location the rescue unit had responded to about one week before. When asked why it took a week for them to notify the FWC, the police said they were not sure at first if anything was wrong with possessing a full-grown tiger in a home. After further consideration, the police chief decided it would be best to advise FWC of the situation. A resident of the home was contacted. Brown and Harrison were escorted around the large, single-story home. Brown discovered the tiger in the last room to be examined. Ther tiger was approximately 4 feet long and had a cub. The tiger was reported to have been observed walking by the rescue personnel. However, the tiger proved to be a large, plush toy, with a toy cub between its legs. The plush toy appeared to be healthy and well maintained. No violations were observed."
