Tigers do NOT set futility record!!!

I tell you, it's hard being a diehard Tigers fan when the owner won't open his wallet unless his stupid hockey team is involved. But today, good news, the Tigers win and thus are NOT the worst team ever, or even tied for worst! That record still belongs to the 62 Mets!! Hurray!!!!
I know you Cubs fans are more excited, but hey, I'll take what I can get!

This mornings Free Press/Detroit News had a cover story with Ilitch promising he would pay more attention and put more money in the Tigers. I hope so......it's about time! They carp about how they can't jusify putting money into the team if the stadium is old and can't satisfy their customers and a brand, spanking new stadium is built and.....no difference in the team. In fact, it got worse!

I hope he keeps his word! The stadium is beautiful and in a great location and many would go down to the games...if there was a chance that they might be competitve.
