TigerCheer2009's Lose 30 and Not Gain It Back Plan! (Add comments please!! Welcome!)

I love your note to TOM! I need to write some notes to things in my life too!
I know you are worried about Mary, but I think she probably needs time away from the boards as she grieves for her pet. She will come back. Sometimes after a big loss you just need to be easy with yourself and let yourself heal. Only do the necessities. You are so sweet to care.
Have a good day. :sunny:

Thank you Tara. You don't know how much your words mean to me right now. I'm over it for the most part, but there's this little sad part in me that springs up every once in a while, but I allow it to go on for a minute and no more. It's the minute rule (used in THE CAR by Gary Paulsen). If you feel bad about something you grieved over that is "over with", like squad leader tryout, I have a minute to think everything over/stew/whatever the case is, and then it's done! You are an AWESOME friend and a wonderfully inspiring WISHer!! :flower:

Calena-Thanks about the note. Physical wounds take time to heal, but emotional hurts take even longer. I should remember that. I just want to make sure she's not gonna go off the deep end and make sure that I'm not trying too hard/caring too much. Thanks!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Breakfast: 2 slices toast with butter, cereal (6)
AM Snack: 2 slices toast with butter, water 24 oz (4)
I can tell right now that it's going to be a very carb-filled day. We need to go to the grocery store and get some good veggies/fruits/yogurt and protein sources. Speaking of which, I'll probably go out for lunch today. I'm trying to avoid a "carbo-HIGH-drate".
Exercise: 7 minute walk to the library, 12 minute walk back due to train.
Theme song of the day: I don't know. I'm thinking of "Great Balls of Fire" because it is so gosh darn hot!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here's to a losing Tuesday and a terrific one!

Lunch: salad w/ cheese, tomato, ham and turkey and ranch dressing (3), 6 breadsticks (1 apiece, 6 total) 6+4+9=19 points used so far. That's okay with me. It was good and filling.

5 more minutes of exercise walking to the restaurant! 24 minutes exercise, plus a 5 minute mover=29 minutes!

Oh, just thought of something...my grandpa will be having a pacemaker put in tomorrow. His heart beats dropped dangerously low today and he was demoted to the surgical ICU instead of general care. Spare prayers, anyone? Please and thank you!

5 points left.

Snack: tuna potato (2)
Dinner: 1/2 patty salisbury steak (4.5), 1/2 cup mashed potatoes (2), 1 spoon creamed corn (??)

So 8.5 points used, 3.5 fps used.

Go Jenn!

I will definately be praying for your grandfather, I hope everything turns out ok :hugs:

Thanks Megan. I needed something Twinkley to light up my day! Are you on break YET?

:cool1: Nope, this week and then next week and then we're done!

My thoughts and prayers are with your grandfather and family. I'm sure it will all be ok.

I hope you enjoy Day #2 of your summer vacation!!

Twinks-Hurry up!! Do well on your exams.
Amanda-Thank you so much. I am enjoying it thus far. I work with the public library at their preschool program for Summer Reading. It will be fun because I finally got my schedule!! :) The theme is Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds-the milder version for the littlies is In the Land of Happily Ever After!

b: 2 cups cereal, 2 pieces of toast w/ butter (7)
l: ???
d: Mom said we are going out tonight for haircuts, so we'll eat out for dinner. Otherwise I am cooking and planning the meals (Beef Taco Lasagna, Taco Chicken, Quick Fix Chicken, Chicken Con Queso Soup and Baked Ziti). Hopefully we're going to Steak n Shake. I'm going to check the points values. My usual menu is: Double steakburger w/ cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard and ketchup with two orders of fries. That's 30 points right there!!!! WHOA! Let's back down a bit and plan our menu right here. **Self: What do you actually want at Steak and Shake? (Steakburger, fries, Cheesecake Milkshake) Good start. How about a single steakburger with cheese? That's 10. You can get a small french fry (6) and a small garden salad w/ ranch (2.5 total) 18.5. Much better.

Exercise: 14 minute walk to library (7 minutes both ways)

Your grandfather will be in my thoughts and prayers!

Thanks, Desiree. Your words mean a lot to me.

L: ham on 2 slices bread, tomato soup, potato and cheese (6)

Exercise: cleaning the house!

I haven't had very much FUN this summer vacation yet! I can't go swimming as people with pools haven't opened yet. The heat and the Dairy Queen are the only things that really feel like SUMMER!! TOM, hurry up and leave so I can enjoy swimming again.

Think positive, stay positive, be positive!

Dinner or snack depending on my mom: 2 mugs tomato soup (ultra hungry, shouldn't have waited as long) 4

Water: 24 ounces :Pinkbounc

Hey Jen!

My DH's mom worked for Steak 'n Shake until she retired last year. She still gets free food for her and her family members so whenever we go out to Florida, we run to Steak 'n Shake! I adore their steakburgers and always get their fries extra, extra, extra crispy! I especially love, love, love the chocolate chip milkshake! I can't wait until December to have Steak 'n Shake again!!!!

I have been saying prayers for your Grandpa. You hang in there! :grouphug:

Hi Shauna!!! I didn't actually get to Steak n Shake. I still love it though. I had a homemade Wendy's chicken finger salad (7)

Sounds like you're doing GREAT Jen. Keep it up!

Your tomato soup sounds really good right now, but it's like 90 here, and my family would think I was NUTS!!

Hope you get to begin enjoying summer SOON!!

MMM.........chicken finger salad.........that sounds awesome!

I hope you are enjoying your summer break! How's the sleeping in going?

Good Morning, Everybody!!!

Amanda-one of the truck driver's at my mom's work had two extra bags of chicken fingers that the people at Wendy's didn't want. So we got 'em! It was very yummy. I'm still learning how to sleep in!!
Jules-The tomato soup was terrific. It was 92 degrees yesterday!! Aaaaah! We didn't even get a gradual warmup. God has a sense of humor, doesn't he? Just say your insides feel cold and tomato soup will make them warm and happy. Looking crazy is good every once in a while! I hope I begin to enjoy summer soon too!

B: 2 cups cereal (4)

Right now I am very busy working hard planning PS times and interrogating family members to see which rides and restaurants we will visit in December of 2006. So far I have (for restaurants): Boma dinner, CM dinner (in Amanda manda's favorite hotel), Le Cellier, 50's PT, Main Street Bakery, San Angel, Crystal Palace Breakfast, Lunching Pad, Boulangerie, Rose and Crown, Restaurant Akershus, Teppanyaki and Tangerine Cafe.

I'll be back. Don't you fret! :banana:

Hey, I heard there were chicken fingers over here, so I had to hurry over. Are there any left? :p

Do what 'cha gotta do today, Jen, to make this a healthy living day (even if mean sharing the chicken! :p )!

Erin

Good morning Erin!!!!! Welcome to my journal and yes, there are plenty of chicken fingers left!!!! Feel free to dig in at any time! I promise to do what I have to do to make it a healthy living day!!! :flower: Whoo, you all empower me so much! The library is not open this morning :guilty: , so that makes my exercise good for playing outside-in my jammies ;) !

princess: Erin, sit down and stay awhile. The day isn't over yet and the fun's only beginning!!! :banana: :banana:

Hope you have a good day Jen!
