Tiger admits to "transgressions"

Resisting the cops is illegal and Tiger did that. As for infidelity, the most you can do is sue the mistress for "Alienation of Affection" but its only legal in some states.

Oh wow. I missed the part where Tiger resisted arrest.

When did Tiger resist the police? He chose not to talk to the police about the accident, which is his right. No-one ever has to talk to the police.

I missed that too.

Hey, maybe if we write:

"Tiger Woods resisted arrest until the police were forced to 'taze' Tiger repeatedly. As one policeman subsequently stated: "With each electrical shock Tiger seemed to grown stronger and angrier. Even with twelve tazes going at once Tiger simply roared louder and even began to grown in size and turn an awful shade of green. Finally, after he lifted his car and threw it 100 yards (where it landed in a bit of sand) Tiger stalked off into his lair."

Maybe this piece will be copied and pasted on some blog and it will become a bit of the 'true history' of Tiger Woods ordeal in the next month or so.

Our local newsradio station in NYC interviewed people on the street. One guy said "I always liked Tiger, I thought he was a good guy, but he turns out to be just another A-Rod!" The ultimate diss from a New Yorker....;)

First of all, I'd be disappointed to if I had to watch Nancy Grace. God, she's awful.

Second of all, HECK YEAH it's abuse. Beating the crap out of somebody no matter which sex is doing the beating is abuse. Are you serious? It's ok for a woman to put the beatdown on a man? What if your best friend cheated on her husband. Does he have the right to beat the hell out of her?

You really think she "beat the crap out of him"? If you look at him, he obviously lifts weights, he could not defend himself? She may have scratched his face with her nails but I doubt she "beat the crap out of him". She may have broke the windows with the club on purpose but if he doesn't press charges on that, I don't think it's an issue. You know he will probably not submit it to insurance because then he would have to give a statement.

I didn't say that at all.

I said "Beating the crap out of somebody no matter which sex is doing the beating is abuse".

I never said she beat the crap out of him. I was responding to a PP.

Whether Elin beat him or not, nothing will come of it. Unless she files for divorce, the attack will never be mentioned. Which is why I think she won't file.

I could be wrong.

This is a question for the women on the board: If a wife is coming after the husband with a golf club, is it okay for him to defend himself and hit her if necessary??

It's always ok for anyone to defend themselves when threatened. IMHO of course.

No, he should lay there and take his buttwhoopin'!

I think any person getting hit with a golf club or baseball bat should defend themselves, and if that results in someone else of either sex getting hit... oh well.

I am sure his dad would be so proud! I found this on http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=2431912 from 2006.

Earl Woods, who was more determined to raise a good son than a great golfer and became the architect and driving force behind Tiger Woods' phenomenal career, died Wednesday morning at his home in Cypress, Calif. He was 74.

Even so, Woods said he never intended to create a champion golfer.

"I make it very, very clear that my purpose in raising Tiger was not to raise a golfer. I wanted to raise a good person," Woods told Golf Digest magazine about his book, "Training a Tiger: A Father's Guide to Raising a Winner in Both Golf and Life."

Just waiting for him to come out with some excuse that he's been depressed since his dad died and that's what led to his "transgressions.":rolleyes1

It's always ok to defend yourself, but sometimes that can be done without hitting. He would probably be able to wrestle the golf club out of her hand without hitting her.

It would absolutely be okay to defend himself in that situation.

That story is from 2006. He's been depressed a long time. With several women.

I guess one of Tiger many women was supposed to give a press conference with Gloria Alred but cancelled at the last minute. I wonder if money played a part in the cancellation

I agree:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I got a email asking how long it was until Jesse Jackson showed up on behalf of Tiger, I'm kind of shocked he isn't there already

If Tiger hadn't married a white woman, hadn't played down his black hertiage (often stressing his Asian background more), or had kissed their behinds like they expect all black people to do, I'm sure Jesse and Al would be all over this.

I somewhat agree with this.
