Tiffins?

I just got my cc bill today and was going over all my meals from last week at WDW and was surprised to see our meal there didn't cost any more than the ones at Flying Fish or Brown Derby or even San Angel Inn. We didn't have appetizers or desserts anywhere except Flying Fish and had at least one refreshing adult beverage at all of them. Which might be the reason I didn't remember it not costing more.

We ate there for lunch so I think that's why we felt like it was so expensive. The price was on par with some of the nicer dinners we had.

We had lunch there but ordered off of the dinner menu. For both Flying Fish and Tiffins we kept a "Don't spare the horses" mentality since these were the two meals we most looked forward to. I felt that while both meals were expensive we got what we paid for. We intended to use both restaurants as a dining experience rather than simply a meal, and we both felt that the goal was successful.

We chose a late lunch but ordered from the dinner menu. Our plan to end dak at Tiffins and then nomads worked well for us.

Good info about Nomad lounge. I'm very interested in the lounges in general at WDW. My folks aren't big eaters and do enjoy a drink now and then. They might like this just as well as the full restaurant. I always worry about the lounges being too crowded and not being able to get a spot when we want, then being out of luck if we don't have an ADR for the main restaurant.

Something to ponder!

Glad to see the favorable reviews of Tiffins. My father has yet to step foot in Animal Kingdom, but I'm hoping the promise of some good food and the Rivers of Light show will convince him to come see it. I think it's such a pretty park.

Now that our kids are older, my husband and I gained new appreciation for the Disney lounges! We have not tried the Nomad lounge yet, but had an awesome experience at the outdoor Brown Derby lounge. We went about an hour and a half before the park closed and enjoyed drinks, appetizers and dessert. It was so relaxing! Hoping to try out Nomad on our next visit!
