Tiffins/ STK

I'm curious myself. We have ADR's at both and I've been watching the reviews on Yelp. Curious to know what our DIS members think!

I think there's been a lot of reviews on the Disney sites but hoping someone with personal experience would respond :D

I would love to hear some comments about Tiffins.

I am currently still here at WDW and will be leaving tomorrow. We booked Tiffins as part of the Jungle Book dining package just prior to us leaving on June 3rd. I went there on June 7th with some trepidation and some very low expectations. Lets just say my entire party of 8 was just blown away by our experience at Tiffins.

First our server, Allen was absolutely phenomenal with his service, advise and descriptions of the items on the menu. I started off with the Marinated Grilled Octopus. Ok, I know it sounds gross, but I was assured it was not rubbery and was full of flavor... Allen did not lie, it was fabulous. Others in my party had the Lobster- Popcorn Thai Curry Soup, the Sustainable Seasonal Fish Crudo and the Roasted Baby Beet Salad; There was not one complaint and they all said their dishes were fantastic.

For the entrée I had the Wagyu Strip Loin and Braised Short Rib; the strip loin was moist, tender and full of flavor and the short rib was one of the best I have ever had. Others in my party ordered the Pan-Seared Duck Breast, the Berbere-spiced Lamb Chop and the Hoisin-glazed Halibut; There was not a single person disappointed and all agreed it was excellent.

For dessert I had the South American Chocolate Ganache, I was a bit disappointed that they simplified the presentation of this dessert from the first week they opened, never-the-less it was still an incredible rich and delicious dessert that any chocolate lover (like me) would enjoy. Others in my party ordered the Passion Fruit Tapioca Crème and the Lime Cheesecake. Once again not a single person complained and were actually moaning over how good everything was.

To sum it all up, I was totally blown away with Tiffins and will certainly be back once again. It along with our dinner at Blue Zoo were absolutely spectacular. Other restaurants we dined at were: Morimoto (horrible service and big let down), Citricos ( loved it), Narcoosee's ( A favorite, still good but was a bit of it's game our visit), Artist Point (once again excellent) and tonight California Grill.

I wish I could upload some pictures to post here but the internet is just so slow here and it would take forever to send a few over to Photobucket so that I can share them. You'll have to trust me and for once forget the " without pictures it never happened. " LOL... I'll post a few when I get back home.

Oh wow, such a great report! I'll definitely keep this somewhere in my trip! I have bluezoo and Narcoosee's on my list as well. And California grill for brunch! I hope you could do a trip report when you get back. Thanks so much for the feedback!

I agree with goofy4prez, regarding Tiffins! We were a party of 8 (2 families of 4) that dined there on June 6th as part of the JB dining package too. Unfortunately, the shows were canceled that night, due to bad weather. However, we did not regret our experience at Tiffins! Awesome decor/atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food! Every single person enjoyed their meal, including the "kids"...DDs (25 & 15) and nieces (20 & 17)!

Here are some pics of what we ordered. Sorry, even though many in our party ordered the Wagyu Strip Loin and Braised Short Rib, I don't have a pic of it on my iPhone.

Thanks so much for the review!!! Everything looks so good! I can't wait for this now.

Sorry about the show though. Hope you got to catch it another night.

We ate there on June 24th, and I think we pretty much all agree it was our favorite meal of the trip! It was so good! The atmosphere is so relaxing, you almost forget you are in the middle of a theme park. And the themeing is just amazing! I forgot to walk through the other rooms but I've seen pictures. I look forward to going back and hanging out on the porch of the Nomad Lounge! I would recommend this restaurant over and over again!

That's great to hear. I was apprehensive since this is in park but I'm so happy and excited to see these positive reviews!

The CM did tell us to hold onto our tickets, and they would honor them for 5 days, but unfortunately, we only scheduled AK for one day, so we were not able to see the JB show. It doesn't sound like we missed out on too much, based on the reviews, but it would have been nice to have been able to form our own opinions.

That's too bad but it looks like based on rumors the JB show is still supposed to run for a while longer... If u are heading back some time this year again, you might still see it :)

Unfortunately, we are from Hawaii, and there is no way possible, specifically financially, that we will be able to visit WDW again this year, as much as I would LOVE to! The first time we've been to WDW was 5 years ago, so it took us that long to go again. I sure hope it won't be another 5 years, possibly 2-3 years (crossing my fingers!). It's more likely we'll get to DLR before getting to WDW, but any Disney magic will do for me!

Oohh hopefully 2-3 years then. :) It's much closer to Asia and California!! Maybe Shanghai Disney is on the horizon ;)
