My husband & I are taking an adults only trip in mid-October. We have a split stay between Contemporary and AKL. The latter part is at AKL, and we're wanting to try new things. We've got reservations for the Cali Grill brunch on Sunday, and 'Ohana on Monday night, and wanted another signature dining experience. He wants Jiko, and I'm interested in the Tiffin's ROL package. For what it's worth, we are not on the dining plan. WWDBD?

I love Jiko, but I think that the value of the ROL package is amazing if you look at the prices on the Tiffins menu. We tried some food in the Nomad lounge in January, and everything was delicious, so I have very high hopes for the rest of the Tiffins menu. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but due to the value of the package I would choose Tiffins ROL.

IMHO, the food at Jiko's and Tiffins are comparable (though I prefer the atmosphere at Jiko). If you are interested in seeing ROL, I would do the package. You are guaranteed a seat without a significant standby wait time.

I love both Jiko and Tiffins - so for me - this depends on if you plan to see ROL. If you are - I'd do the ROL package at Tiffins.

I'm not sure I'd pick 'Ohana for an adults only trip - unless you both love the all-you-can-eat meat-experience. I might pick a different signature.

Thanks for the thoughts, everyone. :)

Considering the difficulty I had getting an 'Ohana dinner reservation, we may scratch that off entirely, I don't know yet. We aren't considering that a signature meal, we just enjoy it.

We might scrap that and do something cheap, and do both ROL aaaaaaaaaaaaaand Jiko.....? :) I don't know how similar the food is.

I just booked a Tiffins ROL package based on the rave reviews of Tiffins I have seen. The ROL package does seem to be a good deal, provided they don't start limiting menu items you can choose with the package, or requiring an upcharge for some items.

Jiko was very good when I ate there a few years ago, but I would go with ROL if you can do only one.

Tiffins and Jiko have very different food.
