Looking at the Disney's website, Tiffins is not listed as Signature Dining. I wonder why?

Something that's apparently slipped through the cracks, but it lists 2 entitlements required for the DDP, so it is indeed a signature.

I'm not sure if it's a signature- my confirmation email said it only uses one dining plan credit. I'm sitting in Tiffins right now, and it is amazing though, please try it. Most expensive thing is the waygu steak (spelling?) at $53. The sous vide octopus has to be tried.

There's no doubt it is a signature. This is from the Disney website.

This is turning out to be an interesting hybrid case. If you notice the description, it says "unique/themed dining" similar to Chefs de France or Coral Reef, not "fine/signature dining" like Citricos or California Grill. Yet the website does list 2 dining credits. So I wonder if this is the beginning of some of the themed restaurants requiring 2 even though they are not listed as signature. Also there was no dress code. I went in cargo shorts and a t-shirt and flip-flops, and so did a lot of other people.

It's Signature: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...ant-coming-to-disneys-animal-kingdom-in-2016/

The clothing you describe would be acceptable at all Signature restaurants except V&A. The dress code basically says no offensive T-shirts & no bathing suits. That's it.

That's a blog post from November. Until I see it listed on the Disney Dining page here https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/ as Fine/signature instead of unique/themed, like the other signature restaurants, then I don't believe it's signature. If you click on Tiffins to get more info, on the second page it also says unique/themed instead of fine/signature.

STK is listed as "Lounges" there. In your opinion, does that make them a "lounge"?

Yes, I have to go by what Disney is listing it as, so if they're saying STK is a lounge atmosphere, then that is what it is until Disney decides to change it.

Call it counter serve, casual dining, or unique/themed it's still going to cost you 2 credits on the dining plan as I have already posted via the "Disney Dining Page." When it's all said and done that is what is going to matter when paying using DDP credits. Here it is again from the Disney Dining Page.

So if Disney were to call this a Great White Shark on their website then that is what it must be... :confused3 After all it is what Disney says it is.

I was playing around on Disney dining site today...looking at options for Sept 30 (arrival day). I noticed a few were messed up...like STK and Tiffins and then when I selected $$ or $$$ it wouldn't show anything, $$ would show some CS places and $$$ would show lounges or something like that. There were a bunch of other oddities.

Also STK's description does read like a lounge, using the phrases "high energy" and rooftop and the like, not your typical steakhouse description. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a lounge type atmosphere with food. Remember, I'm not saying Tiffins wasn't a typo, although it would have to be a typo in 2 places, but until Disney says it's a typo we have to go by what they're saying, because that's the latest info we have.

In my opinion eating there yesterday, it was a nice restaurant but I wouldn't consider it signature. There were no tablecloths, it had a casual feel, some of the items were expensive but it didn't have the same feel as a Citricos or California Grill. I would go back to hang out in the nomad lounge though, very comfortable in there.
