Was wondering if anyone has done this and did they limit the menu since it is pre-paid.

Just did this last week, there is no limit so it's a really good deal, but you are put in a back room with the other ROL guests away from the main restaurant and it is a completely different experience than the non-ROL dining! I understand why they do this, it was a madhouse in there, we kept joking it was like a 5 star meal being served in a McDonalds, so obviously they want to keep that away from the guests expecting a signature dining experience. Still, can't beat only paying $67 per person for meals that cost well over $100!

We did it two weeks ago. It was a lovely meal. The room is nice and it was quiet in there at 3 on a Saturday afternoon. However....if you are not adventurous eaters and willing to try the more exotic items on the menu, this may not be for you. It was Almost $400 for a family of four after drinks and tip. My cheese board was my favorite part of the meal (well and the wine!) the waygu beef was good. I didn't think it was the best steak I've ever had and I could have done without the dessert options. This is just my opinion. We could have done dinner here much less expensive not doing ROL. We joke that we now own a $400 lotus blossom popcorn bowl! On the flip side of this my 13yr old son thought the octopus appetizer and whole fried fish was the best thing he has ever had!

OP, hope you don't mind my asking this on your thread. I was planning on booking the ROL package with Tiffins as a solo guest. The room where they put the ROL package guests, would it be uncomfortable for a solo diner. How is the décor in this room? Thanks to anyone who can elaborate.

What? Are you confusing it with Tusker House? Tiffins has never been a mad house.
And we've done RoL dinning there 3 times, been in 2 different dinning rooms
And we've eaten there without a dining package
The experience has never changed

Nope definitely Tiffins, it's possible they may have changed it recently. Our experience there last week was completely different than the previous time we ate there. They had everyone for the ROL package in the back room behind the lounge. There were kids running around the room screaming with napkins over their heads so they kept running into things, there were other kids rolling around on the floor, and it just generally loud and very chaotic.

We were expecting a similar experience in the fall where it was dark, calm, and just a generally relaxing escape from the park, but got the complete opposite. We still love it there, the food is amazing, so we'll just skip the package next time around!

I struggled to meet the $67.00 minimum for package-included menu items alone. The most expensive appetizer, entree, and dessert comes to only $81.00 (soft beverage not included). Not including the wine flight I selected, the octopus, whole fish, and green tea dessert I ordered was only $69.00; and I was disappointed my whole sustainable fish was the exact one I got at Skipper Canteen earlier that week for less cost. In addition, for all their touting of excellent wines, they came up disappointingly short on after dinner wines. I was so impressed with the Nomad Lounge; but just not feeling the same vibe in the restaurant. The main dining room to me looks like a conference room with some decorations on the wall. All the brown ceiling paint can't hide those enormous air conditioning vents and ducts up there. Guest behaving badly can happen anywhere, anytime; and we had our own less than classy dining experience with the couple seated very close to us. Luckily, though, we didn't have a Tiffins rendition of the Chef Mickey's napkin twirling going on. All said, I think we'll stick with the more immersive, more comfortable, more impressive small plates & cocktails of the Nomad lounge.

Not sure you can blame the restaurant for unruly children. That if the fault of bad parents
I can see how that would ruin a meal but sure wouldn't be an indicator of what would happen on a future visit or have any relation to booking the dining package

We ate there a few weeks back with the dining package and no wild kids, quiet as always

Now, something I do worry will change in the next week, people will fond out it's there when they walk past going to Pandora. It may become hard to book

Not blaming the restaurant at all for this, and I think it's good that they have the ROL package in a separate room. We were the only table that didn't have kids with us the night we went, so it's not too surprising it was so loud in there. After a long hot day in the park, I don't blame the kids for being a bit unruly, I'm sure I would have been too when I was younger. The running around the room and rolling on the floor were a bit extreme and can be chalked up to bad parenting, but even without that, it was still very loud in there.

I do think that this has everything to do with the dining package though, a lot of people would never consider eating here if it weren't for the package.

We were also there while they were doing the CM preview of Pandora, so that may have added to it, the restaurant and lounge were super crowded that night.

This was not our experience at all at the end of April. We were in the main dining room, with the ROL package, and at 4:30 there were maybe 4 other occupied tables. There were actually no children in the main dining room at all when we went, but that was just because it was pretty empty in general.

If that had been my experience, I absolutely would have gone to the manager and requested to be re-seated immediately, I would not tolerate that during my meal, especially at a restaurant like Tiffins.

Yeah, in retrospect, we should have said something, but we were also later, our reservation wasn't until 5:55 and it was crowded so we didn't get seated until about 6:20. When we were first brought back there I made a comment to the CM that I thought the restaurant was on the other side, and she told us that ROL guests got to dine in this one room, so we didn't even think that asking to be moved was an option. Plus we were hungry and tired at that point so didn't want to wait for another table, and they were packed that night!

Although it was loud and the atmosphere was not what we had come to expect from Tiffins, the food was still fantastic, and the service was great, so no bad feelings on the restaurant, we still love it.

We did the package last week and were in the main dining room. Food was excellent, and we had a lovely time.

I have a reservation booked in July. I'm confused with what is included in the dinner package. Is it similar to the Fantasmic Package at Hollywood Brown Derby? We get an appetizer, main course, and dessert? Plus seating for ROL?

Yes, This is correct

What???? What would possess parents to allow their kids to behave this way in ANY restaurant?? Kids rolling around the floor??? Besides being terribly rude that is seriously disgusting!! If my son had even attempted to behave that way in any restaurant at WDW we would have scooped him up and gone straight back to the resort for an early bedtime. I have absolutely no problem at all with kids in any restaurant at WDW and I don't expect them to behave just like adults but that kind of behavior is just ridiculous.

After several Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic! Dining Packages, I began to think kids rolling around and eating under the table was a requirement. It always took a team of cast members to clean up a table after them. We expected better from a signature dining experience so we just quit booking HBD for the dining package. Now if we book HBD, we go at an off time and always request a booth.
