Tiffany's YOU NEED TO KNOW !!

Just want to let people know the service we recieved form Tiffany's Town car service. We are DVC memebers and go to DW four to five times a year. We have used Tiffiny's TC three times with great service so for our family trip in Dec we called them and to surprise the kids we booked a limo. We were picked up at the airport no problem and take to do grocery shopping all is well. the driver gave me a bit of a hard time because he parked in the fire lane and was told to move twice once by the policeand once by the fire dept. He was razing me about breaking records cause he was told to move twice (I didn't tell him to park ther) I let that slide and we made our way to the hotel. We had a great week and took tons of picture on our digital camara. The last morn we did the flag raising at the WL and on our last picture the batteries we dead. We packed the camara in our cooler bag that we would carry on to the plane,and checked our luggae with bell services and we to the park for some time. When we got back to the hotel the limo was waiting for us which was great. They loaded all the luggage which was a lot because there were 5 of us for a week. Off to the airport we go said goodbye to the driver check our luggage and flew home. Well half way through the flight i said to my husband that i think we are missing a bag. Sure enough when we got home the cooler bag was not with us,no big deal we were with Disney and Tiffany's we will get it back no problem. Next morn no call from the limo so i thought mybe Disney put it in the fridge since it was a cooler bag and forgot to give it to us. I called them it took a week back and forth and double checking Disney dosn't have our bag. I am confused figuring the limo would have called me if the forgot to give me my bag back . I after all reted a limo the driver had responsabity for putting bags in and out of the limo right. WRONG. I call tiffany's just to make sure and they say oh yeah we have your bag, wonder when you were going to call for it.
I asked why they did not call me and they said they had three family's in the limo that day and did not know who it belonged to (well call all three) I asked if my name tag was still on the bag and the lady tells me yes. I asked her to look in the bag and reassure me my camara was there. I am put on hold, she comes back and tell me there is no camara in the bag.Now I am very upset. I know I packed it in that bag and I do not have it Disney does not have it.I can not prove that it was in the bag so I am stuck. I ask them to call the other two familys on the possability that the bag got opened some how and they got the camara by mistake. they told me they did call but some how i don't belive them Any how I said we will be back there in three weeks we will just get the bag then. I call Tiffafy's when we got to WL on Turday and give them my room # they say they will drop the bag of tomorow, we tomorw come and goes no bag I call on Sat. and they again promise tommorow well Sun comes and goes no bag. DH calls again Sun night cause we are leaving first thing on Tuesday. Well the woman my husband spoke with was beyond rude She told us she didnot want to pay the fee to bring us the bag (as opposed to mailing it back to us?) That it was our fault , we forgot the bag(this was a limo) that we were using up her 800 number calling her and then she told my husband #$*&#$^^*%&%@%and hung up on him. We call Disney security and we file a report with the orange county police . The bag did show up finnaly on Monday after hearing from these two offical agancey. Both my husband and myself remember the bag being hard to close due to how much was in it and when we got it back it closed just fine I am trully convinced the TIFFAN"Y STOLE OUR CAMERA
Sorry so long but want to get all the facts out and to vent.
 
I'm so sorry to hear such a terrible thing happened to you! Thanks for warning us all!
 
We thought that our Sky Cap would put the last bag we had pointed out to him[even told him it the one with the Green Ribbon]on the cart.

We got all the way to WDW where they were too,too busy to deal with our luggage,so we hauled it all to our room,ONLY to find out 1 of the bags,wasn't ours!!!!! We called the airport found our bag was till there and drove back to the Airport to return the "strange" bag and get ours!! That took an hour and a half!! Out of our WDW Time!!

Lesson: Always get All Your Own BAGS!! Never rely on someone else to do it!!
 

I wonder if it is the same woman I had screaming at me on the phone back in Dec. 2000. She seems to have a very short fuse. I already posted about the incident so I won't bore you with the details. But it does seem to be a pattern. You should NEVER be rude to a customer. Especially when you are the one at fault. I think Tiffany's thinks they are so successful they can treat people any way they want. After that incident we use IBEX and never had a problem.
 
Always, always,always count your bags at each step. I am sorry that your camera is missing, but you should never let someone handle your bags out of your sight. If they do, insist on looking at it for yourself. Also, we always keep our carry on's(valuables) with us in the car where we can keep an eye on them. I guess you can never be too careful.
 
I always do try to count the bags every step.but the kids had bought some stuff and we were trying to condense and make things fit into the back packs we had fourteen bags total with carry ons and 3 teens all asking me questions at the same time. Once wew sat down on the plane and I pulled my self together I relized the bag was missing. We had taken some awesome pic and tht is what upsets me the most. But you bet I will double count and check the camara from now on.

We have used TTC many times and never had any problems with them. Sorry that you lost your camera.
 
We have used Tiffany many times and have always had excellent service.
 
We to had great service till this time. And I really did not want to believe they would hire someone who would take our camara and tried real hard to work with them and never came right out and accused them of this theft but when trying to work with them you get the manager swearing and telling you to go f*** your self Then I have a real major problem you do not talk to any client that way , we never swore at them or accused them all we wanted was our bag back. My DH and I are self employed and we would never talk to any body that way. I am not easly riled and am a very fair person but I will not tolarate anybody swearing at me that way . I am sorry but I will never give them my hard earned money again and I will not recommend anybody else to do so. Just my two cents.

We did a police report with the Fl police and our insurance company is going after Tiffany's
We got a check from them (INS) to replace the camara but will never be able to replace the pictures.I don't know if i mention in the first post thet my husband got to shake Michael Eisners hand when we were there for the 100 yr kick of and my daughter got a picture of it and that was on the disc with the camara. Oh well we have the memory and we have learn a few lessons

We are really sorry to here about the problems you encountered, you reported this on the boards several months ago. At this point if you feel there is additional action that needs to take place you really need to deal directly with the company.
