I just made a reservation with tiffany town car. They will take us from mco to hrh and from hrh to the poly. The total cost is 105.00. It says to pay the driver the total amount when I get to our destination. I'm guessing that means I have to prepay the second leg. Is this what most of you do? What about the tip? Do you tip them once? Is it the same driver? I have never used a car service before, but I found it strange that I have to pay the whole amount up front.

I made a reservation with Tiffany today. They said that I pay everything to the driver on the first leg, cash, credit card or traveler's checks. Print the coupon from the website for $5 off your roundtrip fare, too!

Edited to say that I pay tips in cash. Not sure if you can add it to the fare with Tiffany if you want to. I would call and ask if that is your preference (for all on one cc charge, for example).

Most (if not all) of the towncar services require payment in full on the first leg. I have taken towncars over a dozen times (including Tiffany) from MCO to Disney and have never had an issue.

I always pay by credit card just in case I do have an issue I can dispute via the credit card company.

The tip I pay per leg tod the driver in cash and if we take advantage of the complimentary grocery stop I pay that dirver a bit extra for sitting in the parking lot vs getting another fare.

We use Tiffany and I usually always have the cash for the round trip ready, and then I tip each driver, each one-way (20% or more of half of the round trip fare).Soo...on a $100 round trip I would give from MCO-hotel the driver $100 plus at least a $10 tip and then on the way back, just the tip. We have always had great service, so we tend to give nice tips.

Most times, we have had the same driver, but a couple of times, it has been different ones, so I want to make sure that everyone gets tipped fairly.

Thanks good advice. I will pay with cc and tip in cash. I have a problem paying someone cash upfront. Its kind of hard to get back if you have a problem.

With Tiffany Towncar, we frequently get a different driver for the trip back to the airport.

I think the driver to the hotel has to make more of an effort than the driver to the airport, because he has to go into the airport, get the bag to the car, load the grocery bags into the trunk... the driver to the airport just has to drive.

This is true, but I have used Tiffany for over 10 years and have never ever had anything but excellent service - - I only wish I could get such service in my hometown!
