Tieks anyone have any???

I have three pairs that I wear all the time and I really love them. There's a nice bit of cushioning that keep my feet comfortable all day - especially when I'm doing a lot of walking. Their customer service is awesome, too. I was unsure about which size to go with since I'm an 8.5, so they sent at 8 and a 9 (at no extra charge) so I could try them both and make my decision. All I had to do was return the pair I wasn't keeping using a prepaid mailing label. Really nice shoes, great company to deal with.

I have three pairs, two plain pairs and one of the painted styles. I have very narrow heels, so finding shoes of any kind that work for my feet is always a challenge.

Pros - Friendly customer service. Free shipping. And comfort wise they work perfectly for my feet. I don't have blisters on my toes/heels.

Cons - I ruined one pair by accidentally bumping them underneath a restaurant table. Something on the underside of the chair/bench sliced right through the leather. Customer service would not replace them, but they did give me a huge discount to order another pair. That pair is also now heavily scuffed from just everyday wear to the point that that's what those shoes have now been relegated to - everyday wear.

The painted ones I have are done in individual segments. One of the segments came up, but my other half was able to glue it down for me so that it doesn't show and hopefully won't come lose again. That pair still looks good, but I'm now paranoid about wearing them anywhere.

So while the shoes are gorgeous and work well for me fit wise, they're not worth it cost wise for me due to their very short shelf life on my feet.

I haven't tried the patent leather ones, though. Perhaps they're more durable.

I have just one pair and I love them! I live in the cold climate and don't wear in winter as I don't wear socks with them. I got my pair in February for a trip and they work so great for packing. They would not have enough support for me to spend an entire day out sightseeing but they are so nice and small to pack for a few hours to dress up an outfit, usually at night.

I have worn mine to work about 3 days a week from early May until now. They still look like new. The bottom isn't worn. I work 8 hours a day and spend about 3/4 of my day sitting at my desk and the other 1/4 running around.

Yes, they are pricey. However, they appear to last. A few years back I bought cheap ballet flats from Target and I would go through a pair a month! Last summer, I bought Cole Haan's. I went through one pair during the summer and had to replace them. When I bought my Tieks in February the Cole Haan's were in OK shape shown a little wear but I just tossed them. My Cole Haan's were $70 a pair and I would have bought 3 pairs wearing for 2 summers, so $210. My Tieks will go into storage for the winter here in mid October so I hope to get another summer out of them. If I do, they will end up being less than the Cole Haan's.

Also, my feet / shoes don't end up sweaty in these. They are real leather so your feet could actually breathe. My Cole Haan's were patent.

I plan on adding more colors to my wardrobe, I just wanted to start with the most basic pair and see how they worked.

I have two pairs and I absolutely love them. It took me about a week and a half to break in my first pair. They traveled with me this summer to Ireland and England. I didn't wear them for full day sightseeing, I save my Jambos for that. They were great for evenings out and I wore them for the morning visit to the British museum, a few hours shopping. So far this fall, I've worn them almost daily. I've tried (and spent a fortune on) all brands of flats... Tory Burch, Cole Haan, Lucky and Frye are just a few of the brands I own. For me at least, these are the most comfortable ballet flats I own and they look great. I haven't had any quality issues either. I just recently bought the new Taupe leather and they haven't needed any breaking in. I plan on adding a few other colors as well.

how would they be for someone with plantar facitis (sp)?
