Okay, I'm going to try the tie dye Mickey thing. I'm experimenting with a simple one-color heart design first (in a color I don't plan on using for the Mickeys... using the kit to full advantage). I need to know how to mix dyes. I want to do my Mickeys in black, with green, orange and purple for background colors. But my local wal-mart and Michael's don't have orange. I bought a kit with turquoise, yellow, green, purple, and fushia. If I mix the yellow and fushia, will I get orange? Can I test my mix on paper or something to see if it's right before I use it? HELP!
I'm hoping to wear them for MNSSHP, that's why I chose such wierd colors. I know I'll have to be careful to keep them from mixing into brown on the shirts.
TIA, Lucy
The problem is this: I live in Po-Dunk Montana, and everything is not always available. Most kits don't have red, and at 10$ a kit I didn't want to get two (plus $6.29 for the black). I researched to the best of my ability online, and even the professional looking sites list their suggested "rainbow" for applying color with
I did it! I did it! I posted pics!
