Arts and Crafts **Tie Dye Mickey ears shirts directions**NEW NEW PICS LAST PAGE**

OMG Pixie :wizard:
We are going to the World In Nov, would love to have these....
Tried to do my own, needless to say, dog doesn't look so good ::rotfl2:

Well I think perhaps my kit was around a little too long on my shelf and it got a little to messy and runny and I wish I took a picture of the dog. I thinks I would rather go with yours (its better than living in a tie dyed house right) LOL :lmao:

:rotfl: You Bet :goodvibes oh gosh poor dog

About the kit, did you mixed with the water and let it sit for a while? Because some kits dyes get weak after just a couple of hours :(

now that is an option... a ribbon there.... or maybe I'll just get my daughter to "bedazzle" or something some gems to look like a bow for minnie. we'll see.. i'm putting the cart before the horse now..

here is one with bow

BTW - JoAnn Fabrics is now encouraging you to use other coupons at their stores!

JoAnn's Tulip dye for one color (ie black or the soda ash) is $4.99 here in my town in IL suburb of Chicago
Michaels is $6.99!
(I havent gotten over to Hobby Lobby - yet!!)

Also - I bought a Tulip brand kit (3 dyes $9.99 - w/ 40% off coupon both Michaels and JoAnn sell the 3 dye kit at $9.99 look for the "hippy" pkg its smaller but includes soda ash! (smaller as in pkg material! SAME exact as the longer package dyes - It can be confusing!!)

anyway - I bought some last year - spring of '08 to dye shirts for my dil bridal shower/weekend etc - due to complications I didnt use that dye until last weekend - no problem - but - like Pixie has posted - I used warm water, and filled about an inch below the "rec" line!!

Thank you for the tips Sandy! Hope ya'll can use the coupons, i know michael's take Hobby Lobby's. I love using my coupons.

Pixie, I'm loving these shirts!!! I've been reading this thread on and off for the past three days... My DH and DD think I'm CRAZY!!!

But I plan on making these shirts for our trip in December... 9 weeks and counting!!! Whoo-hoo!!!

My DS12 just told me this morning that while they were in the queue for ToT the attendant who is supposed to be scary (according to him, its been years since I rode ToT) just stared at them a bit and then said.... I SEE HIDDEN MICKEYS! :)

Still working on those pics. Took me 5.5 hours to get them off my camera and onto CD's over the weekend. Now I need to remember where there is a good shot of the 5 of them wearing them. (I didn't have one because I couldn't find a white T shirt that fit me comfortably and I refuse to look like a sausage! ;) )

Ohhh how funny!! I think I have an idea of how the guy is, he always looks spooky, so glad they have those memories.

Don'y worry, take your time with the pics. ;) thanks for sharing that.

Just got back from WDW on Friday. Just wanted to say thanks again for all the instructions. I saw groups with tie dye mickey shirts EVERYWHERE from grandparents to babies wearing them. I wanted to go ask people if they used your directions but didn't want to be a stalker :hippie:

I was so jealous cuz the group I was with would NEVER have worn those shirts. I made one for myself but only slept in mine :headache: My kids made some shirts and socks before I left and you bet I'll be making them for our next (immediate family) Disney trip. Especially love the bow ones.

Great job everyone, I saw great work out there! Thanks again for the detailed information and following up with all my questions. :wizard:
