I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you!!! for posting all the "how too's" for these shirts.
I have never tye dyed anything, and I just did 5 shirts by following your directions. I had one a size 4T for my preschooler, right up to a size 6xl for my dad! I was SO nervous, but they turned out totally amazing!!!
I also did a set of the shirts by laying a mickey mouse shape on, then spraying on the bleach...they are sweet too....but nothing compairs to the tye dye!
Thanks again!! They really add to the excitement of the trip!!

I am making 7 shirts! Sooo nervous. All of my supplies have come I and still on the fence over the silk thread or the floss! That is the last think I need to pick up! Ekkk! LOL I will let you all know how it goes!

I use the floss... but after doing several 'batches' of shirts, I have found that the smaller your stitches, the more defined your line will be! Good luck! Post pics... can't wait to see how they turn out!

I second the dental floss....very strong, you can't break it, it must be cut. I was worried that after carefully sewing around the outline that the thread would break....no chance with the floss. Good luck and have fun with this.

Do you tie first then soak in soda ash or soak them loose (with the exeception of the Mickey Head)?

Can you please tell me what colors from Dharma you used on the red and green holiday shirts? I was thinking of using bright green and scarlet. If I order 2 oz of each, will it be enough to dye 3 adult and 1 childs long sleeve shirt?
