Tie Dye Instructions for Spiral Mickey Shirt

Just wanted to thank everyone involved with the directions, tips, pics, etc. My husband and I tie dyed six shirts with our children and nieces. They loved making them, and we got SO many compliments on our trip. Our pictures with the characters are even more adorable with all of them wearing the shirts. I would love to share pictures, but I don't have enough posts.

I think my favorite is the green and yellow shirts with the blue MH.

LOVE your colors. They look great! Maybe I will try a multiple Mickey too. I just ordered my dyes from Dharma today! Where did you get your dyes? Those are a lot of the same colors I am going to use.

I used Jacquard brand dyes. I got them at Pat Catans. Its like Micheals or Joanne Fabrics. I used the procion MX dyes. You can also order them online. I bought the 2/3 OZ jars. I used 7 colors. I have half of the dye left and I still have dye in the bottles. I used 16OZ bottles to mix them in and have about 1/3 of each bottle. I did use alot of the yellow dye.

I used Fire Engine Red, Raspberry, Lilac, Lemon Yellow, Turquoise, Birght Green and Midnight Blue. I like all the colors except the midnight blue and the lilac. I was hoping for a much brighter purple.

I told my mom I was gonna make her a pair but mickey would have to be supersized. LOL I have to find a way to tease her all the time. Not cracking big ppl jokes as I am big too. I was gonna try to figure out how to make a pair of capri's with multiple mickey heads on them but I cant find a pair of 100% cotton capris in my size that I like.

my 8 year old daughter would actually love them! She has a bathing suit with monkeys on the butt and thinks they're the cutest things!

Here's one I made. I made another, but had a little accident with the bleach pen. May I suggest that if you haven't used the bleach pen, practice with it on a paper towel or something so you know how fast it comes out and how hard you need to squeeze!
