Tidy Cat Breeze Litter Box System

How often do you change the pad and how much do they cost?

I don't think my Maine Coons would fit and neither would my basketball shaped pound kitty.

I would love to get rid of litter dust though

You are supposed to change the pad once a week. At Walmart, it costs $4.73 for 4 of them. The litter is $6.73 for a month's supply. The system was $33.67.

i'm interested to hear more about how well these things work. we're going to be getting our first kitty in a couple of weeks and we've been talking about which kind of litter box to get. my parents have one of those automatic ones that they rave about (and i'm really leaning towards that), but with this one, it seems like this is a good thing, since the pee doesn't clump up, which is the problem with the automatic one (it gets so nasty).

I bought one of these for my cat yesterday and I put it next to the old litter box like it said to do. Well my cat pee'd on my bathroom rug (something she has never done). I guess this was her way of saying, NO WAY. I returned it to the store this morning.

Gromit is still using his faithfully. I love not having to sweep up litter from all over the kitchen and dining room! I changed the pad this morning, and there was no odor whatsoever. The litter dries really quickly after he pees, and I don't have to do ANYTHING unless he poops! I love it!!!

I bought this for my cats yesterday. One of them started using it this morning. The other 2 are checking it out.

At Wal-Mart today there was a demo guy showing this product. He had a Mail in Rebate for $10 off.

There's also a $5 coupon in the box for the system. Open your box and take it out before you hit the register!

One of my cats is slightly obsessed with clean litter boxes and jumped right in to pee. The other one seemed upset that the new 'toy' was peed in :lmao:

I am seriously interested in this system. My cat only covers her poop if the litter is brand new & fresh. Then she's digging in the box for several minutes. Once the litter is used twice, she will never cover again, even if I scoop & pour in fresh litter on top & mix it in. I think it really has a lot to do with her being able to still smell lingering odors. :snooty: If these pellets truly do not retain odor, they may work. If not, I'll send the bag of used pellets back to Tidy Cat. (Just kidding.)

OP, how about an update on how this is working for your cat?

I tried this and didn't like it at all. This is not a clumping system. The pellets are large and when you remove the waste you remove lots of the pellets too. It does nothing to stop solid waste odor. I thought the pee pee pad idea was very good, but overall it was a bad experience.

hmmm I think my cats may like this although I have a heffer that may not fit.
Maybe I'll get it as just an extra box for right now.

I have 3 cats. One of them used the new litter box several times. The other ones didn't. I am trying that box now for the one that doesn't like to use a litter box at all.

Does your cat cover his poop? That's the main problem with my cat. Once shes gone a couple of times, and the litter is soiled, she just will no longer scratch or cover. It's way too expensive to change the whole litter out after 2 usages. :sad2: Yes, I use the clumping kind. But once she's gone & can smell residual odor, she just won't scratch any more. :sad2:

Interesting concept...I'll have to consider this and the Catgenie(.com).

My main odor problem is with the solids...I can't stand that...this seems like it wouldn't handle the solid odors.:confused3

I've had the automatic one and it got nasty because my cats didn't like to bury the poo so it'd get clumped on the comb. yuck!

With 12 cats, I don't see the economic means of having to buy multiple boxes and such. Might be cheaper for me to just stick to the clay litter.

This is my problem too as my cat doesn't cover her poo. Within 2 minutes of going, I have to drop everything as I can start to smell it, and go in and cover it FOR her. :sad2: Most times, she has me trained now. She meows loudly to let me know she's gone and to go in and cover - that's if the litter isn't new. She will cover if the litter is fresh smelling.

I'm wondering, if the poo is covered sufficiently with the Tidy Cat Breeze, will that be enough to stop the odor? :scratchin

Isn't it amazing how well our cats train us?? :rotfl2:

I tried the system on my cat, but she just wouldn't use it. I even called their toll-free number twice for advice. Finally, they refunded the purchase price to me.

I wish it had worked. She's one stinky kitty!

What did you have to do to prove you bought the system? I am not impressed either. The poo just sort of sits there. Hard to get it out without losing a lot of the "litter."

How soon do you scoop it out? Do you wait for it to sufficiently dry out?

This is more info then I ever thought I'd ask someone.
