Tide Tabs

Okay all you DIS experts...I saw someone post where they bought tide tablets for the washing machine for vacations as you can easily transport them. Where do you all buy them???? I just shopped our local Wal-Mart and Wal-Greens and could not find them at either place. Please help!! Also, does anyone know how much they cost? Any other ideas are welcome as I really don't want to lug the huge bottle (from home) to Florida.

I'm going to be bringing them with us too. I think I saw them in out local supermarket.

We use them whenever we travel because they are so easy to carry - they come individually wrapped in 2 packs within the box so I just take the number that I need. All the grocery stores carry them around here and we're in Canada. The US always gets the good stuff before we do!

The only detergent tablets I've seen in the past 6 months was Purex brand at Walmart for @ $3 a box. Our local supermarkets are no longer carrying the Tide or Wisk tablets.

I still have some Tide tablets that I got for our cruise in 2001. I'm assuming they'll still be all right when we cruise next year since they're still sealed.

Here's my list of laundry supplies I plan to bring:

Tide Rapid Action laundry detergent tablets
Shout (or OxiClean) portable stain remover towelettes.
Shout color catcher dye-trapping, in-wash cloths.
Clothes pins
Lint Roller
Fabric Softener Dryer Sheets
Downy Wrinkle Remover Spray

Looks like most brands of tablets have been pulled from the market.

I bought Purex tabs, but this was over a year ago. Looks like maybe they are no longer made. Either pack some powder as suggested, or at least bring a Shout stain stick so you can do laundry when you come home and not have to worry about set in stains.

At my Walmart they're up front in the check out aisle. Look for the one with the sample size stuff in it.

i found mine at my cvs and they were on clearance for 12 cents i bought the last 6 boxes they had left the lady told me wisk was not making the tablets anymore so they were trying to sell them out .

I bought mine from the $1 Store Deals. They also had the 3 - 1 load boxes of Tide - for a $1. They had 2 - 1 loads of Downy too. Great Deals!!!
