Today's Navigator

Today we were up just before 8:00 and could feel a lot more movement in the ship. Looking at the report from the bridge channel on the TV I saw that the seas had increased from “Slight”, which they had been yesterday to “Moderate” and they later went up to “Rough”.
Dad went up to Topsiders to get us a coffee each and when he got back he found our first gift in our fish extender
After drinking our coffee we walked round our deck giving out all our fish extender gifts before returning to the cabin and getting the main gifts for the other floors, which we then dished out.
After giving out the gifts we went to the shop where Dad bought a statue of Mickey with the ship’s wheel
And we then went up to Topsiders for a drink before going back down to the cabin where we found another fish extender gift.
The early afternoon was spent between Topsiders for lunch and the cabin and then at 2:30 we went downstairs to watch the art auction where it seemed that all the items were going for only one bid each - one particular item going for $3,000 on a first bid.
At 3:00 we went down to Sessions for a DISMeet where we met Tammy (TammyAlphabet) and Heidi (Has), with whom we would be doing our St Petersburg tour, plus Connie (Cquick) and we also met up again with Mary-Jo (MJGirl) who we hqad met at Dover. We had quite a long chat before everything broke up around 4:15 and Dad and I went back up to Topsiders for another drink, which we took back to the cabin and found some more fish extender gifts.
I made up some gift bags for people we hadn’t yet given gifts to and at 5:45 we left the cabin to take those around before going to the Walt Disney Theatre for the 6:30 showing of “Twice Charmed”, which is a kind of alternate ending to Cinderella and explores what might have happened if both the glass slippers had been broken before she tried them on. It was OK but not the sort of show I would see again.
After the show we went back upstairs and got changed for formal night before going downstairs and having our photo taken with the Captain and in front of various backgrounds
Dinner tonight was in Lumieres where I started off with roasted tomatoes and goats cheese, Dad had scallops and we both followed that up with The Beasts Potato and Sausage Soup. For main course I had vegetable lasagne and Dad had Parma wrapped chicken. For dessert I had Sweet Temptations ( a sampler of chocolate souffle, lemon cheesecake and Tiramisu) and Dad had a full portion of the chocolate souffle.
After dinner we went to the Promenade Lounge where we had a couple of Remy Martins each before returning to the cabin where we found a special gift from Disney behind our fish.
It’s a limited edition lithograph created by Don ‘Ducky’ Williams who is an artist that travels on many different Disney cruises creating commemorative art. This particular piece is a limited edition of 1,150.
We retired to bed at 11:40 ready for a port day in Oslo tomorrow.
