Ticks

Thanks everyone! I have put the exterminator on hold for now, and am just doing a thorough cleaning job. I appreciate all the info!!!

I am not sure if I got them off right away, or if they were on her for a while. We did take her in to the Animal Hospital as soon as we found them both times. None of the ticks have been engorged. Is it possible it fed, fell off, laid eggs, and then got back on?

I would be at the vet every day if I did that! My dogs run in the horse pasture and come in with ticks every day even though they are all current on Frontline.

I used to freak out about them too, but now we just yank them off flush them and go on with what we are doing.

DD18 still freaks though....she's more of a city girl!! She will holler..."Mom! Griffey has a tick!!" uh..ok...pull it off...:confused3

Ticks are nothing. Gross as heck to get off but not a big deal.

Have your DH go to Walmart and buy a bag of SEVIN it comes in dust and granules(red bags) and you spread it around your yard and it gets rid of a ton of different bugs including ants, fleas and ticks. We do it early in the season and again towards the end and we don't have a problem.

Take your dog in to the vet for Front Line and you're done.

And I just saved you about $930.

Vacuum like normal, skip the cleaners and lose the exterminator because he's trying to hose you.
