If I buy our tickets now for our trip in Dec. 2006, they will be good for then right. I dont want to buy the no expiration option, but they are good for 14 days after your 1st day of use, right? So I can buy them and hold on to them until we go??

Yes you can buy them now and use them when your trip comes. They expire 14 days after first use, provided you have the expiry tickets.
