We are planning a trip the week after Thanksgiving. I would like to pre-purchase tickets this time and get them through one of the brokers at the slight discounts they offer. My question is obviously I will get tickets in advance so my room key won't be my park ticket as it has in the past. Will the hotel be able to take my tickets and transfer to my room key, that's just such a nice conveinence.

Tickets on the room keys is only done if they are included with a package, but not every travel agency has the same package - you may get a package deal and the travel agency sends the paper tickets to the hotel in an envelope and you sign for them at check in. Or they may mail them to your house. Or they may give you a voucher that you have to redeem at the parks. It all depends, so you have to ask your specific travel agent.

If you buy from a discounted broker that just sells tickets, then no - they won't be on your key card and they won't be able to transfer them to you key card as far as I know. I worked front desk for 2 years and never knew of anyone doing this, so I don't believe it's possible.

The resorts have had the ability to put almost all MYW tickets on your resort ID since the software was upgraded in January. It does not matter where you purchased the ticket, it can now be encoded onto your ID.
