Tickets

I have sort of an odd question that I think I know the answer to but figured I would look for some advice from those on here that know far more than me on this stuff.

I purchased park tickets (6 day park hoppers) last night for our upcoming December trip. One of the stipulations for going on this trip however is that my daughter not miss any days of school as she will be missing a week to go on the trip.

Last year of school was tough for her (and us) as she missed many days with stomach issues caused by stress from issues with classmates. She has been doing really well so far this year but of course since i bought the tickets yesterday she started with it again this morning.

So my question is I think the tickets last forever so long as they are not used, yes? The clock on them starts once the first day is used, right? So if we don't go they will be good for the next time we do go (maybe this summer?)

Also I did "will call" as the delivery as we are staying on property and they already have shown up linked on my MDE site. Do i need to try to get hard tickets mailed or am I ok with them linked on MDE even if I cancel the hotel reservation (which is a hotel only reservation). I do have the paper copy of the email with the bar code I got when I bought them. I am guessing they will stay on the MDE site since it was a separate transaction?

One last question, my daughter is 9 right now so we got her a child ticket but she will be 10 this upcoming spring so will we lose the ticket we bought for her? can we pay the difference from an adult ticket to upgrade it if it comes to that?

Thank you Robo for the information. Do you think I am ok with just holding on to the email confirmation of tickets rather than needing to try to contact them to send actual physical ones? Most past trips we never even ended up picking up the hard tickets as once they were linked to magic bands we did not need them. My only thought was that if I have to cancel the hotel reservation the magic bands order also goes away. But my guess is that even if that occurs the tickets themselves still stay linked to the MDE account. Does that seem right to you?

This whole thing really is kind of a bummer as we were just about to do our FP+s in a week, thus why i purchased the tickets.

If you have previous Magic Bands you can also use those. The Tickets are linked to your MDE, and any Magic Band (or other rfid ticket media) attached to the same profile in your MDE can access them. You do not need any physical tickets (aside from the Magic Band).
