I know I read somewhere that it is possible that you can pick up your tickets 3 days before you check-in to your resort. I have a Magic your way with dining for 8/25-9/1 but we will be in Orlando 2 days before we check-in. Is it possible to pick up our tickets and use them prior to our check in date?

Yes. We did this in November had FD package and decided to add two nights offsite before. We picked up our tickets at the ticket counter by Disney Quest at DTD no problem at all. Just take your package info packet with you and let them know you'd like to get your park tickets. If you need to add days or make any upgrades it's safer to do that after you've gone to your first park. Some CMs know better but some will not charge you accurately. Better safe than sorry.

yes, you can pick up your tickets (and use them) up to 3 days before check in. Take a look at the ticket sticky for instructions on how to do this. Specifically look at section 15I. Getting Park Tickets Before Package Start Date.
