We are new DVC owners! We are going home next month to kiadani village. Since, this is our first trip as DVC members we do not know the best way to buy tickets.

As DVC owners do we qualify as Florida residents? Do usually buy season passes or annual passes? Also, what is the difference between seasonal and annual?

Thanks in advance

Congrats on becoming a new owner :woohoo:
To answer your question about the tickets, no being a DVC member does not qualify you as a Florida Resident. If you want to buy and annual pass it must be the Annual Passes that are available to those that are non residents. The DVC discount on the AP is about $100 off the regular price so that is a pretty good deal in itself.

We are not considered Florida residents as DVC owners so can not take advantage of any of those types of tickets.

We will now be buying an AP and then just going 51 weeks apart so we get two trips out of one pass. So, we went August 5th - 12th in 2009 and will be going July 31st - August 6th 2010.

We won't renew the pass and then start the cycle over. This way, we are buying tickets only every other year. We visit the parks each day of our trips, even just to go in for meals or to walk around, so having access for 6 days each trip is important.

We also plan to try for a fall trip every few years and will just plan on doing it the year when we have our AP.

Others, who may only visit 3 - 4 days during a trip buy 10 day non-expiring passes and get several trips out of them.

Even though DVC member are not considered Florida residents, the discount DVC offers it's members for annual passes is almost identical as the discount Florida residents receive.

Adults will be paying approximately $414 for a 4 park pass and $526 for 4 parks plus water parks and Disney Quest.
