We are going to DL for a week in May/07.I need to buy 8 adult+ 4 kids tickets for 3 day park hopper passes, tickets+ transportation to the San Diego Zoo+ universal studios.Any suggestions of where to purchase at reasonable prices? Thanks

I would totally do this, it has everything you need!!

Southern California CityPass
Planning a "grand tour" of Southern California? Here's a great option: the Southern California CityPass, which includes a 3-Day Hopper admission to Disneyland plus one-day admission to three other major attractions.

The 2007 Southern California CityPass (valid beginning 1/3/07) includes Universal Hollywood, SeaWorld San Diego and San Diego Zoo OR San Diego Wild Animal Park.

By purchasing this combined ticket, you save a substantial amount vs. buying each ticket separately. Click here for more information on the Southern California CityPass.

The 2007 Southern California CityPass costs $235 for adults, $189 for kids (ages 3-9). This pass bundles admission to Disneyland plus three other major attractions, and is valid for 14 days. First day of use must occur by 1/2/08. It includes:

3-Day Disneyland Resort Park Hopper ticket (includes one Early Entry to Disneyland)

1-day admission to Universal Hollywood

1-day admission to SeaWorld San Diego

1-day deluxe admission to the world-famous San Diego Zoo (includes Bus Tour and SkyFari Ride) OR a Nairobi Ticket Package at San Diego Wild Animal Park (includes the Wgasa Bush Line Railway)

The Southern California CityPass can be purchased at Disneyland or any of the other attractions included in the pass.

Some Costco stores offer the Southern California CityPass at great prices. Oddly, it is not being sold in Southern California stores, according to several reader reports. However, readers have reported seeing CityPass for sale in Utah, Colorado and Washington Costco stores as of summer 2006. If you are interested, call your local Costco to check on availability. At Costco you'll pick up a big plastic package off the shelf. After making your purchase, you must trade the package at the service counter for the ticket(s). Thanks to Valerie, Darkbeer and Doug S for info.

You can also buy it online at:

ARESTravel.com - offers a small discount, sends tickets FedEx for a flat fee of $10 per order

Costco.com - offers a very good discount and you don't even have to be a Costco member to buy through their site. (Non-members pay a 5% surcharge, however.) There is a shipping charge when ordering from Costco.com, which varies but averages $6.50 for the first ticket and about .50 for each additional ticket.
Universal Studios - full price, but you get a book of Universal coupons. Print@Home ticketing is FREE. If you purchase your Southern California CityPass using Print@Home ticketing, your ticket must be redeemed FIRST at Universal Studios Hollywood, where you will receive your tickets to the other attractions.

Disneyland.com - full price, FREE shipping

CityPass web site - full price plus $2 handling charge per ticket

Thanks for the quick, obvious answer.I looked at this pass, but there is no transportation to Universal Studios or the S.Zoo included?

Andrea---you are on fire tonite, girl!!!!

bruexx---no matter how you slice it, you're going to need a couple of rental cars. Don't know where you're from, but SoCal is big and spread out!!!

I know that it is a big place to get around in,so I was hoping to use a bus tour transportation co.,rather than worrying about driving!!
Thanks

I don't know about the US or SDZ tickets but if you don't want to go the citypass route you can buy convention tickets.

go to http://conventionguest.com/golfindustryshow/

you don't have to use the tickets during the actual convention times, they just have to be used by Dec 13th. I used convention tickets last year without any problems. I had the gay day convention tickets (gay days is in Oct) and used them in Dec.

the order cut off date is Feb 2nd

3 day parkhopper tickets are: $125 Adult, $105 child plus a $10.95 shipping charge.

The only issue I would see is these tickets do not include the early entry

:rotfl2: I know she is the Queen of Information tonight. I was ready to shoot right in with the Citipass info and man did she have it covered!!! All hail Queen Andrea! :worship:

Either way you look at it I think you may need to :drive: rent a car. I'm sure there is transportation companies but I'm not aware of them and might be more of a hassle. Maybe some of our CA friends can help out here. Good luck and have fun. Sounds like a great vacation.

Well the southern city pass is really good, but if your looking for transportation, then you might wanna consider going to the websites designed for the places you wanna go and see if they have deals. EX: Go to Universal Studios and there you can buy a one day pass which gives you free transportation to universal studios and back to your hotel. The bus picks you up at your hotel then drops you off there.

They have deals like that for Sandiego Zoo and Sea World as well.

The only downfall though is that you would have to buy all your passes seperatly then buying a City pass which may be more expensive. But if you rent a car then the southern city pass will be your best friend.

AWWW! You guys are the best!! Just trying to give back a little of what I've been given. I had to hurry and post everything before Grey's Anatomy started and I had to take an hour long leave of absense.

Hope the city pass works. As was said, there are shuttles but it can be quite a pain. I have heard of it taking 2-3 hours just to get to San Diego on them, and that would seriously cut into your zoo time.

Sorry for the hijack, but if you get the Citypass, and stay at a Disney Hotel, can you get Early Entry for Disneyland? We are going in April, and I know it's going to be busy, so we want to take advantage of early entry if we can.

Thanks :)
Charlie

Yes you can get early entry if you are staying at a Disney hotel for each day early entry is offered.

Great! Thanks for your help. We are coming over from Australia, so I'm trying to organise from a long way away. I've been reading on here, and my travel agent was surprised at how much I know - probably more than her, and she is an ex-cast member :)

 Grey's Anatomy was a tough one last night. Sorry :offtopic:

Alright, game on. I know LA can be daunting to drive it but you might want to throw in something else that would warrant a car along the way. So much to see!!! You could spend the few days of the citipass at DL with no car then rent it and that might save some money. I still think citipass is the best bet for you. It's a great deal.

Charley from Australia, I want to go there someday!!!!

The Citypass has a transportation option through Greyline tours. It includes transportation to Universal Studios, the Zoo/Animal Park and SeaWorld for $72per person.
