Has anyone heard anything about refunds on tickets with park hoppers? I have tickets for dec and with the annouced possible reservation system all the way to 2021 we cant hop.. so I really dont wanna spend that money.

Sept trip. Have four, 8 day hoppers, with specific date of use window. The Dis podcast yesterday discussed the "possibility" of only getting a park reservation for ONE day out of a week-long stay. Hypothetical, I know, but it got me to thinking, for sure...
I've been super-OK and very "chill" with everything that has changed regarding this upcoming vaca (masks, no parades, fireworks, etc) but if I only get to go into a park for ONE day out of my 9 day stay I had BETTER be getting some refunded $$$ or at least vouchers to use on future visits! Having your guests pay over $500 per tic and then they only get one park day = not good!

i have 2 10-day hoppers for Sept. and if i can't get two days in MK and one day in each other park then i will cancel. It's just not worth it.

My situation is a bit more complex. Reservation is split stay (BWV & AKV) with DVC points rented from vendor.

THIS! Except mine are 2 6-Day hoppers....I'm holding out hope, since I'm not scheduled until Halloween Week!

I have for the end of July - 8 day parkhopper tickets . My trip is a month away so I wish they would figure out what they are definitely doing about 1 park. I don't mind 1 park at all. Maybe I will relax and slow down for once at WDW this way. I just don't want them taking my money until they figure this out:confused3

That can't be true, can it??? It doesn't seem fair, or even legal to go for 9 days and go to one park only the entire trip!!!

I had heard it would be likely 1 PARK A DAY
I have never heard 1 park whole vacation yet.
I know dis unplugged asked the random question of if you could choose 1 park your whole vacation what would you choose. But I recall it being hypothetical

Whew! I can handle one park a day if I had to. A coworker had actually called about her reservation and they told her no guarantees she'll get into the parks, so that's why i was assuming you might not get into any park on some days. Thank you!!

Disney is just protecting itself. They have no clue how this will all work and/or whether this is going to go smoothly. They have to count on staff and cast members showing up and staying healthy etc.
I would sincerely hope the workers are as anxious to get back to work as we are to the parks.
The saying of "no guarantee park entry" is smart on Disneys part. There are so many unforeseen variables that can happen it is unreal.
My tickets are 1 week after they reopen.
I would feel more confident if I was going in August and saw beforehand whether it's all worth it.
I will only hear the good and the bad of everything one week before I leave for WDW.
This shall be interesting! Lol

Disney has already put out there that people may not get a park every day of their trip,

I believe it was an example of what could happen. To be honest, until it opens and we see what happens, I think those going July and August should plan that it may not be perfect or there may be days that are hard to get,

I am hoping that Disney saying you may not get a park every day of your trip is their attempt to cover their backside from complaints from the people who are just going to show up at the park without doing any research and never having attempted to reserve a park reservation the 30 or 60 or however many days in advance that park reservations are going to open.

Seriously how many complaints did the cast members get daily from people who showed up day of and couldn't understand why there were no more fastpasses available to FOP or Slinky?

We have hoppers tied to 10 day tickets for August from a free dining bounce back. We were "forced" to buy the hoppers for the package. We got the e-mail regarding losing our free dining, but not a word mentioned about the hoppers being removed and refunded. It's getting insane at this point that they are so late in getting information out there.

We are pretty much cancelling this years trip due to all the craziness going on, but have been holding out on cancelling in hopes that something would change in regards to moving our trip rather than just cancelling out right. It's looking more and more like we may not want to go at all either way.

For those that may not have watched this week's WDW Discussion
at 30:00 on the counter, is where the part starts. These two quotes kind of sent up some small red flags of concern for me:

~The response by John when reading a disboard question that went "assuming ......we will be able to receive one park for EACH of our 9 days". John responded "Thats a big assumption!" and "we don't know if people will get a [park] reservation for each day of their stay or not"
~ and then later Deni says "ok, like Ryno said, if i can get into ONE park. Think about that. For those who are here for 7 days, that's really hard to wrap your brain around. That you would spend all the money that it takes to get down here and then you would only get one park on your 7 day resort stay. But... it *could* happen!"

I consider the Dis Unplugged crew to be "experts" and have "insider" info, to one degree or another. That's why it hit me the way it did. Being an ardent Dis Unplugged viewer since 2013, it carried more weight for me coming from them than it would just some random podcast. I realize they presented it in a hypothetical context but the fact that it was presented at all set my mind in motion.

I agree.
I had a non-park trip planned with DH for this month (June 5-13). .... 35th Anniversary Trip (RIP).
So that document that I saved with the non-park things we were going to do may end up coming in handy in Sept if we have days where we don't get a park ressie. Personally, I wouldn't mind hanging out at the resorts. Both that we are staying at in Sept are new to us. So I would be OK with being "forced" :) into soaking in the ambiance of BWV and AKV. I can roll with changes and still have fun...
That being said though.... I really would expect to get a voucher or something equivalent to the days remaining on our tix that we weren't able to use.

They've said nothing about hoppers yet.

A cast member told me today they are wiping them out (canceling them). She said you will be seeing a refund during your stay. My vacation is in less than a month away and she claims I will seeing changes made and to keep watching My Disney Experience for weekly updated info.
Of course as of now I haven't seen anything but my dining reservation wiped out :confused3

I am going to be as understanding as possible. Everything is up in the air at this point. :rolleyes1
