Tickets with Offsite Split Stay

Hi all! I’m facing a new-to-me situation for my trip in June.

My family of 5 will be doing 3 nights offsite at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, then 3 at GF and 4 at YC. I’ll be getting 7 day tickets for the parks. Normally I buy tickets through Undercover Tourist. This time I’m thinking about adding the dining plan to the GF part of our stay, so I think I’ll have to buy my tickets through Disney to that.

Either way, we’ll be using 2 days’ worth of park tickets before checking in to the GF. Will our tickets/Magicbands work with no issues while we’re staying at WBC? I’m asking because our very first park day will possibly be HS at rope drop to ride Rise of the Resistance, and I really don’t want any ticket issues that morning, because we’ll never get to ride that way.

You should be able to buy tickets from UT that start on your first park day during the offsite stay. Then book a ticketless package for the GF stay for room + dining plan. Then a room only reservation for YC. Having tickets not associated with a package that includes dining wouldn't really be any different than someone who has an annual pass trying to do the same thing.
You could book a full package for tickets/dining/room for GF, but the tickets wouldn't start until your GF stay starts. You can technically start the tickets in the package early, but you can't do that until you get there, which means losing out on prebooking fastpasses.
