Tickets with MaxPass and Linking to App

We are visiting in October from the east coast for a total of 7 days and have a few questions.

We are buying 5 day parkhoppers with MaxPass. In addition, we are purchasing 2 day (1 Park per day) tickets with MaxPass. We are planning on linking all of these tickets to the app.

The dilemma:

We want to use the 2 day (1 Park per day) tickets on the first and last days of our trip. How will we navigate this in the app as we’ll have two tickets per person linked in the app? Do you a choice as to which ticket to use?

Ideally use one ticket until it’s done and then the other so you don’t have them linked to your app at the same time! No worries about mixing them up. Otherwise you just need to be EXTREMELY careful about scanning the right ticket every time you enter a park. MP will only work for tickets that have been scanned in so that’s no worries. Your worry is making sure the right ticket is scanned every time you enter. The ticket should say “5 day hopper” but it will give you ONE chance to name it the first time you enter it into an app, so call it “persons name-5” for the 5 day and “persons name-2” for the 2 day just to add an extra layer of security on what ticket you are selecting if you intend to mix days up.

You didn’t ask but fwiw personally I’d do the 2-day single park tickets first and then move onto the 5 day hoppers. We always hop less at the beginning and more at the end of a trip. The first day in any park we end up spending the majority of the day there because all of it is new.

I agree with the above, but if possible, I would upgrade your single park tickets to park hoppers if using Max Pass. The beauty of Max Pass is that you can schedule a FP for say, Guardians while riding Indiana Jones. Otherwise, you can still get FP at the kiosks.
