i'll be needing tickets for disworld in dec.my questios are:

where is the best place to shop-is disney worth the extra$$$
when am i going to get my best price?now or closer to my date
should i pick them up in orlando or get them mailed to my home
how should i formulate these tickets.ultimate, hopper, hopper+,seperate quest ticks?

mouse savers says that disney offers ,from time to time, buy one second half off.when do these happen?

Sorry, I can't help. But I bet someone on the Budget Board or the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies Board could give you good advice. Good luck.

BTW, I purchased our Park Hoppers one-per-month at our local Disney Store. Doing it one at a time, over time, helped our budget.

I'd wait as long as possible to decide. DVC has been polling members about ticket discounts recently, and CMs seem to be unofficially implying that announcements of additional member ticket discounts are forthcoming.

You may also want to spend some time researching Annual Passes. 8-9 days in the four Disney theme parks in a year is typically the break-even point when comparing prices to park hopper passes. In addition to your December trip, consider whether you intend to return in the next 365 days.

Of course you'll have to give some consideration to where the waterparks fit into your plans as they can change the pricing significantly.

You can read more about APs here:

http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/apass.htm

Worst case, if no discounts are announced before your trip, hop on disneyworld.com the night before you leave and order your passes then. By ordering online you'll get the advance purchase pricing, which will save you around $20 per pass over buying them right at the theme parks or hotel. You will be able to choose "will call" as a delivery option, meaning you will still get the tickets at WDW, while saving a few bucks in the process.

by-line says this post has been moved , but i don't know why, nevertheless an AP is probably not in the cards since i think we'll try hh next year.do the AP's allow you to go to the water parks or disney quest?i guess the pool at ssr will sufice but my boys will go crazy if i don't give them qisneyquest!

The only tickets that provide admission to DQ are:

Unlimited Park Hopper
Premium Annual Pass
DQ Single Day Ticket
DQ Annual Pass

"Plus" options from Park Hopper Plus passes are NOT redeemable for DisneyQuest entry.

Don't know how many days you're doing, but when I ordered my sister's tickets from Paramount www.gopitravel.com they were including one admission to DQ on their 6 or 7 day PHP's - you'd have to call and double check before ordering as that was a few months ago. - I ordered my tickets there for my last two trips and was very happy with their prices and service.

I purchased tickets from Maple Leaf Tickets they were cheaper than the disney tickets and they came fast ordered on a Sat at my house on Wed! I would reccomend them and I plan to use them again.
