When you buy ticket via the DL website, what exactly do they mail you? The actual tickets, or just a voucher to get the tickets at the gate once we arrive?

Thanks

depends on what option you choose, if you choose e-tickets, they email them to you, you print them off and take them to the turnstyles to be exchanged for the actual tickets.

I think with the other options you have to take them to the ticket booth to be excanged... Not sure though, I've only ever gotten the e-tickets. :confused3

That's right, it depends on which option you select when you purchase the tickets. :goodvibes

Option 1: DLR mails you the "actual" DLR tickets. There will be an additional charge of $10 for Express shipping or $3 for Standard shipping. I think you're supposed to allow 17 days for Standard shipping.

Option 2: You pick up the "actual" DLR tickets at the Will Call Booth at the DL/DCA entrance area. I think there's a $2 charge to do this (although I'm not sure if it's $2/ticket or $2/order).

Option 3: If you choose the eTicket option, DLR will e-mail you a PDF file. When you print out the PDF file it will be 8-1/2" x 11" and it will have 2 bar codes. You bring the print-out directly to the turnstiles (you do NOT have to go to a ticket booth :thumbsup2 ). The CM at the turnstile will scan the print-out, and print the "actual" DLR ticket. At the turnstiles it takes barely a minute to get the "actual" tickets; and with the eTicket you don't have shipping charges, etc. :thumbsup2

HTH :earsboy:

I want to buy my 1 Day/1 Park tickets via the e-ticket option... but I then want to upgrade to an AP and pay on it monthly. Has anyone done this yet?... or do I have to buy the 1 Day/1 Park ticket at the ticket booth and upgrade there???

You can't buy a one day/one park ticket online. You would have to do that at the ticket booth. You can buy a one day/park hopper online if that helps you at all.

Guess that takes care of that! I just wanted to try and bypass the ticket booth. :sad1:

Honestly, I think printing out the e-ticket is the best option.

If you lose it, you can always reprint it from another computer, so that takes care of some of the worry, plus it's free! No service charge for nothing!

They print you out the ticket at the turnstiles after you give them the e-ticket anyway, why pay $10 to carry the tickets yourself?

I got the AP "extra" email the other day, and it talks about the monthly payments.

States "New Annual Passports via the Monthly Payments option MUST be purchased at the Disneyland® Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booth."

And then:

Upgrade a 1-Day/1-Park ticket to an Annual Passport for as little as $5.42 per month.

Annual Pass
Regular Price 1-Day 1-Park
Ticket Price
Down Payment Annual Pass
Monthly Payment
Premium $389.00 $69.00 $26.67
Deluxe $269.00 $69.00 $16.67
Southern California $174.00 $69.00 $8.75
Southern California Select $134.00 $69.00 $5.42

And when you want to renew it and do a monthly payment, they need you to do that at a ticket booth, too, they say.

I'm glad they have this open for so cal residents, but I know I could never do it!

OK that spacing in the quotes made no sense. Drat.
