I am at a huge crossroads, and I have read all different types of posts about tickets and opinions, however I am hoping that you all will be able to shed some light for me.

It is just myself and DH. We were married last summer at Disney, and my best friend is getting married this summer at Disney, so we are going in July! I know it will be busy and hot, but we were married in June - so hey! This trip will be her wedding (and I'm a bridesmaid) and our 1 year anniversary trip. We are thinking 10 days (Wed-Friday), plane tickets at the moment are relatively cheap, but haven't fully decided against driving. We've driven twice now, but 18 hours is a long time and I'm impatient. I can get non stop for $99 at the moment. DH would rather drive though, he's not a huge flyer.

We have NEVER been to the waterparks, or Disney Quest (and I am almost 100% positive DH would love it!) We have really wanted to go...

So I have been debating getting our usual parkhoppers, but also adding the waterpark and fun option. Although we will also have some wedding duties that take time away from parks, etc... so then I thought well maybe it would be worth adding the no expiration so that if we didn't use all of our days, we could use them in the future...

HELP!! PLEASE!!! suggestions, ideas, what would you do?

Usually I would have this all planned, but just recently found out DH was going to be able to come!!

Thank you all in advance!

I have had a Non- expiring ticket for about 7 years. I am going to use the last couple of days on it, on our trip in May. I had the PH and Water parks. With that ticket you get 10 water park days that never expire. We are retired military, so when a good military ticket is available, we have use that instead. When I bought mine it was only 5 WP days. It is nice to plan a trip and not have to worry about tickets. I will probably buy another one next year. It is a high cost to start, but to me well worth it. Have fun.

Did you know you can buy a park ticket and then add on the waterparks or non expiring part at your hotel?? It will cost you, but you can do it. This might work great for you, since you are not sure about time, since you have wedding things to do etc. Just a suggestion! Have a great trip and Happy Anniversary!

three times we have used ten day non expiring tickets. We usually spend 5-6 days in the parks for each trip and couple that with a couple of days at the beach.

This past time we added the WP&M option to our tickets. We all enjoyed the park. Next trip we may do both in one day. At that rate it will take 7-8 trips before we use up that option and be on our third set of major park tickets. Great benefit for a little more than $50/person. We added ours at the resort.

This summer we are doing a major road trip to California and back. We have one day scheduled for Disneyland. Since we have park hoppers on our tickets we will be able to do California Adventure that day. Had we paid out of pocket for tickets for that one day to both parks it would have been about $400. The average cost per day for our non expiring tickets was about $150.

I suggest that you look at the costs. I know some years Disney has increased the non expiry option at a higher rate than other parts of the ticket. Though the non expiring WP&M option adds to the value. I go through the math each time we buy.

Thanks, I appreciate all of your ideas. I know it isn't something I necessarily have to determine right now, but I am a planner so I want to have an idea or start getting ideas or things that might be right for us.

I love hearing others stories and how they use their tickets. My DH has started to accept that Disney has to be an annual vacation, so I think the non-expiration may be a good choice for us... even if I don't add the waterpark and more option. Because it is cheaper to buy 10 days, than buy 7 days this year and 7 the next, or whatever it may be. This past year we were AP holders with our wedding - however, I know my DH won't buy into that yet... Maybe after he finishes pharmacy school in a year :thumbsup2

Thanks again! I always feel so supported and walk away from the Dis with a new perspective and new things to think about it, it's wonderful!
