We are planning a 2 week trip where we stay at Disney for the first 5 days, then go on an 8 day cruise. After the cruise we will be planning one more day at Disney before flying home. We will be getting 5 day tickets and would like to use 4 of the park days before the cruise and one after then cruise when we return. Seeing as that these will fall within the 14 day period after the first day of use, I am assuming they will still be active. Is this correct, or will they expire after we check out?

Tickets (even "package" tickets) do not expire related to anything other than the "14 days after first use" window.

Great, thank you both! That's what I thought but I just wanted to be sure.

Even in a worst case scenario where you arrive on day 1 and depart WDW on day 6(using passes for days, 2,3,4,5) and then sail on day 7 with a return to port on day 14 and then use the pass for day 15, you should still be OK because you activated the pass on day 2 so the pass would not lapse until day 15. As Robo said...14 days from first use. Where people can get messed up is paying a few $$$ more for an additional day on the pass and then using the pass(activate it) when they arrive on day 1 to go to Epcot for dinner. In this case when they return to port on day 14, the pass will become inactive at midnight on the 14th and they cannot use it when they go to a park on day 15.
