Just got a whack of emails the I believe they were flexible dates tickets that were good for our dec trip are no longer valid . I had made park reservations and everything and had paid to upgrade the other date specific tickets .
I think I have until the 28th to fix it to keep my park reservations. We have decided not to do Disney even if we get to Fl
But anyone that had tickets with an expiry date may want to check in MDE. If I have to pay more again , we will downgrade tickets. I’m over being nickel and dimed. Spoken as a new DVC owner who had yet to stay .

The emails I got this am

Still seeing my inactive APs on DME. Were the tix bought from Disney directly? I’m thinking it’s more likely a glitch than your tix being invalid.

Sounds like a glitch to me too. It would be worth a phone call if the call didn’t take 3.5 hours. I also paid to update ours to January 2022 , and I just checked and they are still fine. My original expiry date was September of this year.

My tickets (Airmiles Flex date) previously had a Dec 2030 expiration date. Today when I looked, after reading your note above, they expire September 26 2021. One month from today. Originally they were to have expired December 2020. I had hoped they would still be good, disappointed they aren't going to be but the value will still be there.

Our next trip is so far off now I can't get all upset about this now. Too many other important things going on in the world.

Ack! Mine say Sept 26, 2021 too! I just checked my park reservations for December and they are all still there though.

I just wish I hadn't purchased so many wdw gift cards, because I likely wouldn't even go back at this point. I can eat the air miles tickets. Even with $1600US in cards, it wouldn't even put a notch in the price for a DCL cruise LOL

The only thing I hope Disney does is to allow us to purchase a "new" ticket over the phone and apply the value of the soon to be expired tickets. I know they have issues with this right now but surely they can get their act together and figure out a way to make it happen.

Check your junk email as that’s how I got my warning my park reservations would be cancelled . When I upgraded the other 3 tickets and paid the $800 o was assured these would be good

Sorry just want to double check. The title of the thread says “2031” exp. Is this correct? Or was it meant to say “2021” exp?

I just checked my spam folder and I don’t see anything. Oh well.

This # 1-888-870-9173 (toll free) was published a few months ago as still working from Canada. It goes directly to tickets if what I read was correct. Thought it might be of use to anyone wanting to contact them now about the ticket situation. I plan on waiting until a trip is in the works before contacting them. So much is still changing.

I also just got a weird email but it’s from “Disney destinations”?? I have 2 air miles no expiry tix from years ago and the email says it’s an error that it says they expire in 2030 and will now by sept2021. It says it’s reflected on my acct but it’s still showing as 2030. I am confused. Almost seems like a scam email but who knows.
ETA: ok just googled I guess Disney destinations llc is in fact Disney. So weird.

So it seems those "non-expiry" tickets will now expire. That is kind of crappy of Disney. I don't happen to have any but it was a good deal when everyone was scooping them up. Now it seems, not such a good deal, especially given so many won't be travelling before end of the year :(

We were looking at DVC resale prior to pandemic and I'm sure glad we didn't bite the bullet. I feel for you and everyone else in this situation. Might have made a totally different decision had you known you'd be nickle and dimed to death, pay for airport transfer to hotel, fastpasses, etc. etc. etc.

Yup that’s the exact one I got. Ugh. And I had emailed last year and they assured me they were good until then since no expiry. Guess not :( (oops, meant to quote you ottawamom)
Me too.... contacted them to confirm when it changed originally in MDE and they said that definitely guaranteed the tickets are good until 2030. Saw it online it all looked good --- have printouts with the info. I would have asked for a refund before if I knew that they'd do this. It's truly appalling they'd do this with only 1 month notice.

Especially with their land border still closed . I’m getting angrier . I already paid $800 usd to upgrade the others ..
and Um I work 6-6 in a LTC home I get 20 mins for a break if I’m lucky . No way do I have time to deal with this by their deadline of tomorrow . Thank god we aren’t going in dec anymore .
We will be downgrading our tickets.

Those of us who can, lets get on the phone/email and complain about this. Spread the word. Disney has been known to do these things and then backtrack when it's unpopular.

After thinking about this for a bit I have come to realize this is probably Disney wanting to clean up their accounting books. These tickets are a huge liability on the parks books and an easy one for them to clear up. If they want to do that we should be given more notice before they make an arbitrary change like this. Give us a year to use the tickets (not just one month). We're not even "technically" allowed to travel across the border yet.
