okay so I have an old ticket that doesn't expire and I would like to give it to my roommate so she can go to Disney with me for my birthday. They said that they couldn't change the name on the ticket. Now I've never used this ticket so my fingerprint isn't like in the system for it. So if we go into different lines while going into the park will they know that she isn't me if she uses my old ticket?

Tickets are non-transferable, so you'd be breaking the rules if you did that (and it's a biometric scan not a fingerprint ;) )

If the ticket is completely unused she might be able to use it. Once a ticket has started it's usage, the same person has to use it on any and all days. Is your name on the physical ticket? I think if it hasn't been used at all, she might be able to since it shouldn't be attached to your finger if it's never been used. It would be just like buying a ticket and giving it as a gift. However, once she uses it, all days must be used by only her

If the ticket is unused she can use it - you're fine. Something cannot be "transferred" if it hasn't been started. Think of it this way... when you transfer schools, that implies you've already started school at another location. My guess is that the name is on it because it was attached to a KTTW card.

There are a handful of other thread throughout DIS asking the same question.
