Has anyone purchased a Basic MYW ticket at the local Disney Store? If so, how far in advance did you puchase and how was it

You can buy them all the way up to the day before your vacation and still get advance purchase. If you look around online however I am sure you can get better prices.. I just bought them there for convenience sake![]()

Then I can concentrate on paying off my room by January. I'll start dealing with airfare by March.

Heather said:Just one tip -- if you are buying them fairly close to when you are headed to wDW, call the store first and make sure they have the ticket you want.
I wanted to get an AP and one store near us (and we are in Virginia) was sold out, but another one had just gotten a bunch in. The nice salesclerk there said that they had a ton, so probably wouldn't sell out of them before the new year, but that the SEVEN DAY passes sold out much faster and often there would be a lag before they got new ones in.

I was able to get the 7-day hopper but not the no expiration option. The sales clerk told me that it would cost something like $25-30 ticket to add the option later. No big deal, the tickets were cheaper and I can add that option before I use them. So, we get down there and we had to pay the difference (bring them to gate price) and then we could add the no expiration option. So the tickets for us were no cheaper and we had to put out extra money that we had not budgeted for.
I don't know if this was just our store, the sales clerk or what. But if you are wanting to purchase them from the Disney store to "get them cheaper" make sure you ask for every option that you want because in the end it may not me cheaper.
HTH,
