has anyone purchased your disneyland tickets thru ebay? just wondering how many of you do. thinking of doing it...just wanted to see what others thought...thanx! :flower:

I personally wouldn't do that, just because I am SO worried they are fakes- then you are screwed!

We bought some for WDW the last time we went, and we did save a good amount of money in doing so. The tickets (I think they were 2 day tickets) were mailed to us as soon as the auction ended, so we could confirm that they were real before we even left (I think they were some sort of conference=type ticket or something).

I looked at ebay for DL tickets, and from what I saw (this was 2 months ago, though), there were some where you would MEET the seller somewhere to use the ticket and then bring it back to them when you were done, or something like that, and that I would NOT do. Not only is that obviously going against Disney ticket policies (as tickets are meant for one person only and are nontransferable), but there's no way I would trust something like that. I guess that stuff will end when DL starts using the fingerprint scan like WDW does (at least I think they don't yet, right?), but I didn't see any tickets that looked like a smart buy for us. (We also have a kid now, and if something did go wrong with the tickets, it would delay all of us which wouldn't be worth it to us - previously when we bought tickets on ebay, it was just me and DH so we wouldn't have been as concerned about it)

I did get some from ebay but check there feedback.

I got 2 days left on a 5 day pass and bought the 2 tickets for 190 bucks went to the AP place and then paid 140 bucks more to have AP for the yr.

So I got 1 ticket for 190 bucks and the other for 140 bucks, if you look at it this way and have a yrs worth of fun.

Is it wrong to do yeah maybe but look at the more times I go and spend more money to the bank of disney.

I bought some recently from a local small time travel agency off EBAY, and rented their timeshare home a mile from the park for 2 nights. They dropped off the tickets early in the AM and all I had to do was leave them on the table and say goodbye..it was so easy and time saving!:thumbsup2

I've done it.

Things to check for:
- seller rating
- read the ratings (see if anyone else has bought DL tickets)
- read the description thoroughly
- If you have any questions, email the seller.

Don't the passes have expiration dates? Something like, use with in 14 days from first day in the park? I'd be too nervouss. Besides, it's like going to see two or three movies for the price of one at theatre 27. It's things like this thats cause prices to go up for the rest of us. I believe it may be called stealing.

I've done it a few times. Read everything carefully and get all the details. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Have fun and Happy Shopping!

I don't think I would buy off of ebay. You can find reputable sellers using mousesavers like another poster said. It would be really easy to get unusable tickets if you aren't very careful.

You have to be very very careful when buying tickets off ebay. Tickets DO expire and there is no nonexpire option (like WDW).

...so I know there are honest sellers out there. :rotfl:

However, as others mentioned, be sure to check their feedback. Also, before I bid on a high price item (for me, that's more than $100) I check what kind of items are in the feedback. To my mind, maybe somebody racked up a bunch of feedback on 99 cent auctions, only waiting to scam someone on an auction for several hundred dollars. But then again, that might just be me being paranoid.

I've found that with ebay, it is always better to be paranoid and extra careful.

I've bought I've sold on Ebay an Craigslist. This is what I told someone who was iffy about doing it. Why don't you try to sell something on Ebay to pay for tickets? As for the Renting deal. I think that is SOOOOO SLEEZY. If you look at the persons feedback it appears they do it all the time and have 100%but still. It is soo WRONG according to the terms of the tickets. I feel like "renting" a pair and upgrading to AP's just to tick her off.... of course I would never DREAM of doing something like that!! :rolleyes1

:surfweb:

I wouldn't do it, I would be the one who got screwed and had useless tickets. LOL Seriously though, it is against Disney's ticket policy, just do the right thing and buy your own. Use that link and save money that way but don't use eBay and most of all don't "rent" anyone's tickets, that's just wrong.

*stepping off my soapbox now* lol

DL tickets do expire, they don't offer a non-expiring ticket at all. They generally expire 14 days after your first use.

Generally they expire 13 days after first use. They also generally must have the first day used by the first monday of Janauary.

The difference is if they are completelyl unused you can pay the difference between the old price & new price.
