tickets/magic band question

I have a magic band from a former trip linked in MDX.

I just bought a day 2 ticket direct from Disney which shows up in MDX.

The email for ticket confirmation says I need to take the email with barcode to Guest Services (presumably to get my hard ticket.) But do I need to do this step if I have a magic band? Is my new ticket automatically linked to my magic band?

If you have a working MagicBand, you probably don't need to stop to pickup the actual ticket.

There are a few tickets that do require you to stop at either a Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location to activate. Those include Annual Passes, FL Resident Tickets, Canadian Resident Tickets, and select Military Tickets.
