Hiyas all :)

Just to add to the excitement, the tickets arrived today - All the info that you get from TCD, I am pretty impressed with them, I think it's at least as much as you get with Virgin. One interesting thing I did notice, that they recommend that you leave a cash deposit with the front desk, rather than leave a credit card imprint - First time I have seen that mentioned anywhere, its a null point for us as we are upgrading our room (via the hotel), so will need to give them cc details up front.

So, all the tix we need are here, apart from the Cirque Du Soliel tix, which I believe Virgin Travel Store send out 10 days before departure.

The only thing I have to do (apart from get my legs waxed a couple of days before we go - ouch!), is sort out my grocery delivery to the hotel from Goodings.

Oh and pack<g>.

We still have 2 free days to account for at the end of the holiday - I think we will leave those free just incase we really fall in love with a particular park and want to go back, if we aren't fussed with anything we have seen, we will probably jump on the $5 bus and go to Busch Gardens for the day.

Ta for reading this far down<g> and listening to me waffle!

My Q's:
We are staying at Le Meridien the night before - mostly to save my mum's back (she has a crumbling spine and the journey TO Gatwick and then being on a plane for 9 hours would not be a good start to a holiday), so we can relax and perhaps have a bit of a sauna and jacuzzi in the afternoon before we go (again for my mum's back). What's this hotel like, and is it as easy as they make out to get to the terminal?

Anyone got a Pal Mickey? My mum is a Furby fanatic, and I want this to be the first pressie of the holiday for her, anyone got any experiences of this little chap?

Thanks all :)

Hi HeidSFost

I presume you mean the Le Meridien at Gatwick. Its a nice hotel connected to the NORTH terminal. I'm pretty sure that TCD fly from the south terminal. This is not a major problem as there is a monorail that connects the two terminals. The journey takes 2 minutes and one monorail leaves about every 2 mins (if you know what I mean!).

If you're taking the train to the Le Meridien, the station is in the South terminal, so you will have to take the monorail across to the North. On entering the north terminal, the (from the monorail) the little tunnel leading to the hotel is directly on your LEFT.

If you're going by car, then just follow signs for the long term car park at the North terminal.

Next time you go, it might be worth looking at the Gatwick HILTON, which is actually in the South terminal.

I hope that helps.

Lewis

PS - you CAN take trolleys on the monorail :)

Hiyas :)

We are flying out with BA, who go from the North terminal, which is why we are staying at Le Meridien, but we are flying back Sunshine 1st With TCD (apparently they didn't have any room left for our outward journey<g>).

Ta for the info anyways, :)

We got the PAL Mickey and he's great fun when going into the parks. He'll tell you about rides and give you tips and pass on trivia. Everytime he has something to tell you he chuckles and vibrates then you press his hand and he starts giving you the info. At anytime he's on you can just press one of his hands and he'll tell a "cheesy" joke - we liked these.

You can also play 3 games with him as well - good fun we love him :)

we saw alot of people with Pal mickey who were very dispointed with it. We road tested it for a while from a CM,its not very loud, and if youre in epcot, unless you hold it to your ear its nigh on impossible to hear.He also tells really bad jokes, and after a while you do feel like drowning him!!!.
