Tickets from Getawaytoday.com vs. Disney.com

Does anyone know if the tickets order from the Disney website are actual tickets?

The ones from Getawaytoday I understand are voucher which will require us standing in the regular ticket line to exchange for a regular ticket. As an obsessive planner I would really prefer not to do that. On our last vacation I managed to avoid ticket lines in all but one park (Seaworld) and really regretted not ordering them ahead of time also!! LOL.

Anyway...back to my question.....the prices are the same at both places (except for the $10 processing fee at getawaytoday) and since I may order other tickets from them anyway that $10 may be meaningless.

I would prefer to receive the actual tickets.

It's been about a year since we bought our Disneyland tickets online but they were the actual park hopper tickets that didnt require anything but walking up to the gate and getting in line. When you click to buy them they will ask you when you are going to leave. Enter about a day before you are going to go and then it will recommend the shipping option best for your time frame. We did it with about 4 weeks to go and they shipped them in plenty of time. I've done the voucher thing once with getawaytoday because it was a fund raiser for our local school but I will never do it again! The whole vacation was SUCH a hassle and the biggest reason was the standing in line to get the actual tickets.

I'm sure if you called DL and asked the CM on the phone they could tell you for sure but as of last year they did mail the original tickets to us.

if you are only buying disney tickets the I would buy from disney.com simply because you don't have the extra $10 fee.
But if you are also buying sea world or san diego zoo tickets then I would buy from getawaytoday, because they offer incredible deals I haven't seen anywhere else.

more than Disney tickets so if I get them all from Getawaytoday I will need to spend the $10 whether I buy the Disney Tickets from them or not......thats why I figure to get the real ticket from Disney instead of the voucher.

I am also keeping my eyes open on the other parks websites to see if there prices will be anything close to getawaytoday.....but I doubt it.

I guess I should figure on getting to the parks early so we wont have to wait on line forever huh?
